Rules to Access the
Lodges
Approved by Special Commissioner’s Decree no. 23
dated 22 June 2018
ESU’s lodging service is reserved to university staff (professors, researchers,
visiting professors, students, exchange students) and other users connected to the
academic world (conference attendees, summer school, family members of
students, connected to research centres).

Access to the service:

1the stay at the lodges can be:
a) short daily and/or weekly stay
b) long monthly or longer stay
How to apply::
the application to the lodging service must be done at least five working day in advance,
a) By email to accommodation@esu.pd.it filling out the correct form.
b) Phone call bookings are not accepted.

When booking, please include your personal information (name and surname, the day of arrival and
departure, a contact phone number) and the reasons for the stay.
In case of long stays (over 30 days) the request must be sent by filling in the form found on the
following web page www.sassa.org.
Key delivery:
The room keys are delivered on the arrival day at Accommodation Office via Tiepolo 50 from Monday
to Thursday from 9:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 18:00. Friday from 9:00 to 13:00 and upon
presentation at the reception indicated in the confirmation email sent by ESU.
Payment:
• for short term stays: payment must be made by MYPAY of upon arrival following the
indications received via email at the ESU accommodation Office Copernico, Via Tiepolo 50,
at arrival or the following morning.
The office opening time is 9:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 18:00, Monday to Thursday.
• for long stay: according to the instructions communicated upon confirmation. Usually
payment for the first month is made on arrival, while the following months must be paid
within the 5th of each month.
Payment can be made by Visa or MasterCard credit card, Visa or Maestro debit card, included
Postamat and Postepay. They can be done at the Residence Office, at the office of the Residence
Manager or by using MYPAY.
Room/Accommodation delivery:
for long stay: the guest, previous agreement with the person in charge of the Residence or
a delegate, must sign the appropriate "acceptance form". When signing the "acceptance
form", the guests accept to read and accept the regulations and, if not foreseen in the
residence's specific regulation, to take notice of the general regulation at
www.esupd.gov.it. Guests commit to behave appropriately in the residences.
Room/Accommodation release
The accommodation/room must be vacated and the keys must be returned by 10:00 am of the last
2 day of stay. Keys must be returned to the Accommodation Office in via Tiepolo 50, Padova.
The guest undertakes to deliver the room in the same state in which he/she received

• for long stay: when leaving the accommodation, the guest, previous agreement with the
person in charge of the Residence or a delegate, must sign the appropriate exit form. The
security deposit, if previously paid, will be returned after having checked the status of the
room itself. The payment will be done within 60 days from the date indicated on the form.
Services offered:
Linen:
• for short stay: bed linen and towels are provided;
for stays equal of over 4 nights, towels will be changed. Bed linen is changed every 7 days.
• for long stay: borne by the guest. The following will be provided: blanket, mattress cover,
pillow cover and bed covers, double change of bed linen, a towel.

Cleaning:
• weekly accommodation: cleaning every half week (without bed making).
• for long stay: borne by guest.
Television: present in the room/accommodation of some residences (Luzzatti, suite
Copernico)
Responsibilities and prohibitions:
The guest must:
a) keep an appropriate behaviour, responsible and respectful towards the other users of the premises
and towards the equipment provided by ESU;
b) keep the rooms, furniture, bathrooms, kitchens, etc. clean
It is forbidden to::
a) keep animals
b) disturb at any time: in particular, after 23:30 and before 8:30;
c) smoke in the rooms, common areas, as per current legislation;
d) keep flammable materials, toxic, radioactive, narcotic, or otherwise substances prohibited by law
in the rooms and common areas;
e) host guests, for whatever reason, during the night; host visitors who have not left a photo ID at the
reception (in the residences with Reception).
Day-time visitors
Visitors are allowed between 8:30 and 1:00.
The guest assignee remains the guarantor, in all respects, of the behaviour of his/her visitors and
responds, also economically, of any disturbances, damage or problems caused by them.
The outside visitor is required to deliver an identity card to the reception staff (in the Residences
with Reception).

No kitchenware is provided.
ESU denies any liability in case of loss or theft of personal belongings in the assigned spaces.ESU reserves the right to access the rooms in case of need, even in the absence of the guests, as
specified in the Regulation of the residences. For anything not expressly stated, please refer to the
general Regulation of the residences.
