A beacon for social emotional learning and development, Theatre workshops provide the opportunity for children
to learn how to work as a team (ensemble building), how to express feelings, calm anxiety, and focus on the task at
hand, and how to problem-solve within structure and use ones voice and body to fully be present in today’s world.
Theatre workshops are also extremely silly, fun, and a terrific way to get up on your feet and engage with the world
around you. We have combined Acting, Musical Theatre, Voice, and Movement techniques and activities from sum-
mer Zoom classes and Fall hybrid classes to provide a high-quality fulfilling experience for your child. Students who
prefer working backstage rather than onstage will enjoy Techies Workshop learning from a professional Theatre tech-
nician. Students in Stage Make-up Workshop learn specialty make-up techniques from a professional actor and are
given a professional make-up kit, the price of which is included in the tuition.

WORLD DANCE WORKSHOP SERIES
Join Teaching Artist Ysaye McKeever for four 60 minute dance workshops, each focused on a different style of World dance. Wee-k one
focuses on “Hula,” the Hawaiin word for “dance” and the spectacular tradition of Polynesian music and dance. Week Two focuses on the
dance of West Africa. Deeply rooted in the traditions of the people, this barefoot dance style focuses on rhythmic body movement. Spend a
workshop learning about Samba, a dance form that derived from enslaved peoples who were transported from Africa to Brazil to work in the
mines and sugar plantations. Finally wrap up this exciting workshop series with a dance form made popular by US crews of street dancers
beginning in the 1970’s, Hip Hop. Adults are welcome to join this workshop series too.
