Carrot Cupcakes!
Ingredients:
For the Cupcakes - For the Icing -
150g softened butter 500g icing sugar
150g caster sugar 250g softened butter
150g self-rising flour Orange food colouring
3 eggs Green ready to roll icing
Decorations –
Crushed Oreos
Method:
1) Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and prepare the cupcake try by filling it with
twelve cupcake cases.
2) Add the butter, sugar, flour and eggs into a mixing bowl and combine until
smooth and creamy.
3) Put the cupcakes into the oven for 12-15 minutes.
4) Place them on a wire cooling tray and allow them to cool completely before
icing them.
5) For the icing, combine the butter, icing sugar and a drop of orange food dye.
6) Ice the cupcakes using a piping bag or with a knife and top with crushed Oreos
to create a soil effect.
7) Pipe a swirl of orange icing on top to create the carrot and top with three sprigs
of roll out icing to create the stalk.
8) Enjoy!

Ingredients:
185g butter 5 Cadburys crème eggs
185g chocolate 150g mini eggs
3 eggs
275g golden caster sugar
85g plain flour
40g cocoa powder
Method:
1) Put the butter and the chocolate in a heatproof bowl and microwave at 30 sec
intervals until melted. Leave the melted chocolate mixture to cool to room
temperature.
2) Heat oven to 180 degrees. Grease a 20cm square tin with butter and line with
baking paper.
3) Break the eggs into a large bowl and add in the caster sugar. Whisk the eggs
and sugar until they look thick and creamy.
4) Pour the cooled chocolate mixture over the egg mixture and then gently fold
together.
5) Add the flour and cocoa into the wet ingredients then continue to mix
6) Pour the mixture into the tin Put in the middle of the oven and bake for 40
minutes.
7) Cut the fondant filled eggs in half and crush a few of the mini eggs. Take the
brownie out of the oven and press in the eggs, cut side up. Scatter over half of the
mini eggs too then put it back in the oven for a further 5 mins.
8) Once baked, top with the remaining mini eggs and enjoy!
Page | 5Cheesecake Filled Easter Egg!
Ingredients:
1 easter egg halved
Base:
15g butter
85g digestive biscuits
Filling:
200g cream cheese
35g caster sugar
100ml double cream
Method:
1) Crush the biscuits into little crumbs
2) Melt the butter and add to the biscuits. Mix until all the butter is absorbed.
3) Spoon and press the biscuit mix into the bottom of the egg half.
Place it in the fridge to chill while you make the filling.
2) Whisk the cream cheese, sugar and cream in a bowl until very thick and stiff.
3) Melt the chocolate egg half then fold into the cream cheese.
4) Spoon the filling carefully into the egg and put in the fridge to set
5) Melt the milk and white chocolate in the microwave and drizzle on top of the
cheesecake.
6) Decorate with mini eggs and enjoy!

WITH DR GRACE GLOOP!
Chocolate Melting!
What you will need:
-1 block of milk chocolate
-1 block of dark chocolate
-1 block of white chocolate
-A container for each block to put over the boiling water
-A bowl of boiling water/ melt over a hob
-A timer
-And a grown up to help!
Procedure:
-Place the three blocks of chocolate over the heated water.
-Turn on the timer and write down the time it takes for each
chocolate block to melt.
-This shows the different melting points of chocolate.
-Have fun!

What you will need:
-1 glass
-An egg
-Vinegar
Procedure:
-Place the egg gently into the glass; be careful that it doesn’t crack!
-Pour vinegar over the egg making sure it completely covers it.
-Wait 2-3 days and then you will have your bouncy Easter egg!
-Have fun!

What you will need:
-A large bowl filled with warm water
-A range of different biscuits
-A timer
-And a grown up to help!
Procedure:
-While holding the biscuit in the warm water, put the timer on.
-Once the biscuit becomes soggy and falls into the water stop the
timer and note the time it fell in.
-Repeat this for your different biscuits.
-Compare the times of all of them.
-Have fun!
