COVID-19 ARRANGEMENTS
Events listed are subject to the normal resumption of on-site lessons.
DISTANCE LEARNING
Parents:
1. Should encourage and support their child’s/ children’s work - including:
a. finding an appropriate place to work and join video calls (not a bedroom),
b. checking that set work is completed by the end of each day and
c. ensuring that the normal school timetable for the day is followed.
2. Should contact the subject teacher/tutor/HM if there are any concerns.
3. Must allow their child/children to fully engage with their teacher and
their class online, and minimise distractions when live lessons are being
delivered.
We will assume parents give consent for live web-based sessions, unless we
hear otherwise.

keep my child safe online?
There is a lot of support available to keep your child safe online. Below are
some useful links to help parents and carers:

DISTANCE LEARNING
Students:
1. Should be online via Firefly, Zoom or Google Meeting and follow their
normal timetable to enable teachers to respond to student needs and keep
structure to their day. For overseas students, continuous communication
with your teachers is essential. Teachers are aware of which live sessions
you can join, and which sessions you will access materials in your own time.
2. Should check Firefly to see the posts for each lesson, including from
your tutor.
3. Must complete all set work within sensible limits of time - contact your
teacher if something is taking you too long.
4. Must use email to communicate with their teachers and ask questions
if they do not understand.
5. Must sign off that they have completed set work as per teachers
instructions, via the Firefly task.
6. Must be suitably dressed for schoolwork when involved in video calls and
should not take video calls from bedrooms if possible.
7. Are still bound by the agreements of the school’s Internet Acceptable
Use and e-safety policies, and should not record and share any recordings
of any lessons, students and teachers.

Pupils:

according to the suggestions made by their teachers (with regards to
