From the Desk of Father José…..
As we opened our church this past week, I heard from one of our volun-
teers a beautiful phrase: family is not just blood family. This very short
statement speaks volumes about our understanding of being a commu-
nity and a family of believers. We are all in this together. Our first
weekend and weekday Masses have had a different tone. We are aware
of each other, we are aware of being together in a new environment,
and we are definitely aware of all that is around us. Let us not forget
that our Gospel today is simply inviting us to be aware and respectful
of each other’s presence. As we partake in the Eucharist and leave our
St. Charles family, we go out to meet others and bring the Presence of Christ to them. We are
walking tabernacles! The differential changes in which we are partaking are vestibules of
preparation for the holy ground on which we are walking. Thank you for being patient and
for embracing the different ways in which we are embarking on our journey. May the Lord
grant us a sense of peace. God will provide.
Gratefully, Fr. José Magaña, V.F. Be at Peace, God will provide.
P.S. We are sending you emails through Flocknote to register for our weekday Masses during
our Phase One. Please be sure of our gratitude as we await to see you and pray with you.

No olvidemos

Prayer and fasting are good, but better than either is almsgiving accompanied by
righteousness… It is better to give alms than to store up gold; for almsgiving saves one from
death and expiates every sin. Those who regularly give alms shall enjoy a full life. Tob 12:8-9
