REBUILD THE BACCALAUREATE EXAM
TO SIMPLIFY ITS ORGANIZATION
The reorganization of the tests will be less disruptive and secondary school
students will thus be able to work until the end of the school year.
TO PROMOTE REGULAR WORK THROUGH THE SCHOOL YEAR
A part of the final grade is based on the general average of trimestral report
cards (11th and 12th grades).
TO BETTER PREPARE STUDENTS FOR COLLEGE ADMISSION
College counseling is part to the curriculum. A diploma including common
core, mandatory and non mandatory electives courses.
TO SERVE AS A STEPPING STONE TO COLLEGE SUCCESS
Elective courses will allow students to deepen their knowledge and refine
their college plan. The common core courses give them a solid foundation.
The OIB promotes international course of studies.

A NEW ASSESSMENT: ORAL PRES.
■ The oral presentation is prepared in 11th and 12th
grades. It’s a 20 minutes presentation in front of a
jury.
■ The presentation is based on the curriculum of the
mandatory electives selected by the student and
based on a specific project lead by the student.
■ Preparation for the presentation takes place during in
11th and 12th grade, and more specifically after
March of the 12th grade year, when students are
finished with the mandatory elective assessment.

- Evaluates subjects that are not tested in final
assessment
- Are organized by the school.
- Tests subjects are selected among a
selection of topics provided by the French
ministry of education.
- Copies are anonymous and corrected by
teachers other than those of the student.

CARDS
THE 10% is calculated in two parts:
- The general grade average of the 11th grade class. This grade
is weighted at 5 for each subject.
- The general grade average of the 12th grade class. This grade
is weighted at 5 for each subject.
To calculate this average, all courses count equally, whether
mandatory or optional. Rochambeau Electives are not taken into
account in this average. For Latin (LCA) all points over 10/20
have a weight of 3.
The grade obtained during the final assessment tests are not
included in the calculation of this average.

BACCALAUREAT RETAKE
- Students with a score of 8 or higher BUT less than 10
out of 20 are eligible to retake 2 exams.
- It consists of two oral examinations based on the
curriculum of the common core and/or the
mandatory electives.
- Only grades superior to the ones awarded previously
are taken into account in the recount of the
baccalaureate.
