Its main mission is the prevention and diagnosis of diseases of the periodontal tissues and their
functional and aesthetic rehabilitation, by periodontal, prosthetic and implant procedures.
Today it counts over 2.000 members.
SIdP has contributed and still contributes to the development of scientific knowledge in perio-
dontics, implant dentistry and related biomedical disciplines mainly through a broad specturum
of cultural activities ranging from National and International meetings, courses, communication
projects, publications and yearly issuing of several awards.
