Request for Proposal
This is an incentive group of about 120 GE people for September 17-24 of 2017. They are interested in Ireland for a 6 or 7 night program (3 days in Belfast area
and 4 in Dublin). We will probably fly into Dublin and bus everyone to the Belfast area. Opening night in the hotel, possible dine around one night and another
unique venue the last night. Group will arrange golf, spa and two or three tour options (like Giants Causeway, Titanic, etc).

Then on day 4, we will depart Belfast around noon and make our way to Dublin (stopping for lunch and maybe activity on the way). Tours and activities each day
in Dublin as well, with planned dinner activities each evening.

One night will be a Gala Awards Dinner and we will need a “special” off-site venue.

We are required to get at least two bids for DMC. I am not yet sure about when we will be able to come for a site inspection, but hopefully by September at the
latest.

Let me know if you need anything further to develop a brief proposal with estimated pricing.

The Site Inspection
At long last, we have booked our flights for the site inspection. XXX and I leave here August 3 arriving in Dublin on August 4. Note: there is a possibility of a third
person from GE in attendance, but that is still tentative.

As I believe we discussed, GE will want to meet with 3 DMCs. Only one will be chosen to operate the entire program. Decision will be based on
Comparative Prices
Creativity
Compatibility (how well we get on) J

I was thinking the following agenda (subject to your recommendations):

Odyssey will have the first part of the site visit. Pick us up at Dublin airport and transfer to Culloden on August 4. We will meet with the hotel that afternoon and
the following morning (August 5). Then meet Odyssey for the remainder of the day to visit optional activities and function venues.

Moloney and Kelly will pick us up at Culloden mid-morning (August 6) to visit other optional activities and then transfer us to Dublin stopping at suggested venues
on the way. Finally ending at Powerscourt around 4 pm. We are scheduled to have dinner with the hotel staff. On August 7 we will tour the hotel in the
morning. After lunch we will meet with Moloney and Kelly for tour of optional activities returning to the hotel by 4pm.

That evening (August 7) we will meet Ovation to visit possible Gala and off-site venues (including dinner at one of them). We can continue to look at activities the
morning of August 8. If possible, the afternoon we should leave open as a contingency. On the morning of August 9, Ovation would provide transfer to Dublin
Airport.

This plan will require a little coordination as we don’t want to repeat any venues or activities. I know you have each provided preliminary suggestions. I have
spoken with the client and she wants to offer no more than two or three activities each day. A blend of “touristy” options (like Titanic Experience) and more local,
unique activities (like falconry).

HELICOPTER RIDE OVER GIANT’S CAUSWAY & NORTH ANTRIM COASTLINE
The Antrim Coast Road is one of the great coastal routes of the World. Famed for its glorious scenery, deep rugged glens and sparkling sea if you love coastal scenery
then you cannot miss this area of breathtaking beauty. And what better way to view it than by helicopter which will travel along this dramatic coastline with its bold
cliffs of grey, red and black rock, solitary ancient castles perched on isolated cliffs such as the ancient castles. The highlight is the Giants Causeway, a UNESCO World
Heritage Site whose 40,000 stone columns, formed millions of years ago with the cooling of molten lava. Their sheer number and uniformity make you believe that the
columns were carved by human hands, or perhaps truly by a giant.
Step off your helicopter at Ireland’s oldest working distillery, the world famous Old Bushmills Distillery. Watch whiskey making take place and enjoy a wee taster as
you unlock the secrets of 400 years of distilling at the home of Irish whiskey. Enjoy a taster of this great whiskey to end your tour.

Lunch Option
After exploring the Antrim Coastline, why not pull up a chair and enjoy a delicious lunch in the award winning Bushmills Inn.
Each dish is crafted from traditional roots, but with a Bushmills twist. At Bushmills the chef uses local produce where possible, bringing you a true taste of Antrim.
Their fish are all caught in local waters while the pheasant once roosted in the nearby Macnaghten estate.

Belfast and the Causeway Coast have been voted as the top destination to visit in the world next year by the Lonely Planet .
AFTERNOON TEA AT THE QUEEN’S RESIDENCE – HILLSBOROUGH CASTLE
The Royal Palace of Hillsborough is on the edge of the ancient kingdom of Mourne. The Hill family after whom it is named acquired much of this former kingdom in the mid18th century
and built their castle here and adjacent village. The present palatial home replaced an earlier castle in the 18th century and in 1924 its fortunes changed when it became the royal palace
and the official residence of the Royal Family when they are in Northern Ireland. Pictures of the family adorn the walls and give an insight into the less formal aspect of royal life.

On arrival at the castle the Royal Bugler greets the arriving guests after which they embark on a private guided tour of the elegant state rooms including the majestic Throne Room and
the graceful royal dining room.
For a very special experience enjoy Afternoon Tea in the Throne Room - a tea-related ritual, introduced into Ireland in the early 1840s as a mini meal to stem the hunger and anticipation
of an evening meal at 8pm. What better way to end your tour than with this most Irish of dining traditions when guests can sit back and indulge in a tasty selection of finger
sandwiches, assorted cakes, homemade scones with clotted cream and jam, as well as freshly brewed tea or coffee in the magnificent setting of Hillsborough Castle

There is time afterwards to wander through the beautiful gardens developed in the 1760s which offer a contrast of ornamental grounds, peaceful woodland, meandering waterways, and
trimmed lawns. Look out for the statue of Ossian outside the main entrance and the Lady Alice Temple.
Enjoy some leisure time in the picturesque Georgian village of Hillsborough. The village is home to a close-knit community and serves the wider rural areas as well being a popular
commuter base for those working in Belfast. Hillsborough has a broad range of specialist shops, cafés and well worth a wander round.
TRAVEL BACK IN TIME

The Ulster Folk & Transport Museum is one of Ireland’s foremost visitor attractions illustrating the
way of life and traditions of the people of the north of Ireland only 3 minutes Walking distance

furnished houses, mills, shops, schools and churches set in carefully recreated landscape
extending over 60 acres. This provides the setting to present the story of life in Ulster in the early
1900s through costumed interpretation and a varied programme of activities, crafts and skills. The
award winning galleries of the Transport Museum display Ireland’s most comprehensive transport
collections from horse drawn cart to Irish built motor cars, from the might steam locomotives to
the history of ship and boat building.

through the town to get a sense of how early 1900's life but with an experiential element
throughout such as making drop scones on an open fire in the Old Rectory, listening to traditional
musicians play tunes akin to that period while enjoying a hot port or ginger whiskey. In the basket
makers you could craft a willow star and be graded on your creativity. The after party will bring in
some traditional Irish Musicians and Irish dancers to give you a taste of the local talent and allow
your client to learn something of our local culture. There is also a beautiful craft shop onsite which
you can browse through before departing.

The Transport Museum offers a very special Experience!

The Titanic Building itself is steeped in a theme from the beginning. To build on this further, we suggest
prop stations around the building to enhance the nautical theme to set the scene.

Suitcases, fresh vegetable arrangements, wooden props & candle holders set up around the building will
set the scene. Burlap linen pod tables and wooden stools feed into the servants quarters idea and fits in
with the third class cabin & “below the decks” atmosphere of the hooley scene with entertainment to
                                                match.

AV & Décor price dependent on choice
For the more luxurious part of the building, the first class cabins & the magnificent Titanic Suite with the
iconic centre staircase - will be dressed opulently reflecting the interiors on board the ship. Between
beautiful centrepieces, iridescent pod table linens & elegant draping, these areas will have a different feel
in them which reflect the space around them. This won’t impact on the atmosphere of fun & frivolity
around the building but will bear resemblance to the actual change in décor on the Titanic itself &
continue the event’s progression & transition.

AV & Décor price dependent on choice
As guests arrive into the expansive atrium space, they will be greeted by an array of character actors who will
be roaming through the crowd throughout the evening and interacting with guests. Choose from the likes of the
singing mermaid, the Titanic chef, Captain Ramsey on stilts with tales of the high sea & some shanty’s. Pirate
peg will inject some energy bringing out everyone's inner pirate while Captain John Stewart will tell the tale of
the Titanic, it being his last voyage and adventure.
Once guests are into the atrium, a choir will perform
welcoming them to the Titanic. The choir will burst
into song and kick start the evening with gusto!

Traditional Irish ensembles will be placed around the
galleries playing music where appropriate to keep the
entertainment alive and well celebrating Irish cultural
heritage along the way.

A string quartet can play the original Titanic score
and period music for another atmosphere again.

The sheer size of the Titanic Museum means that the
scope of entertainment is vast – we can arrange to
have traditional, classical & modern music & dance
work in different areas throughout the building for
different experiences along the way.
We suggest that at the beginning of the night, a guard of honour of drummers will stand outside the
Titanic building playing guests into the atrium with a piper. Later on, they will provide a drumming
extravaganza which will provide the main entertainment to wow your guests. We can get up to 100
drummers to create a spectacular performance linking in with professional Irish dancers for an evocative
show. Due to the size of the group, we suggest hosting this performance rotating the performers around
the building to ensure everyone gets the same experience. The piece of music was written specifically for
the Titanic. Click here for a video example of Titanic Drummers (3:30 – 5:00)

importance of wood in this process. At the end of the Tour you will take part at a tutored tasting.

Next stop is at the Guinness Storehouse which is situated in the heart of old Dublin. The Storehouse is your introduction to the world’s famous creamy stout and
has been converted into one of Dublin’s finest venues. It is a self-guided tour through the world of Guinness that ends with a pint of Guinness overlooking Dublin
City in the Gravity Bar. Often surprising, always entertaining, the adventure begins the moment you walk through the door and into the building's giant, pint
shaped heart of glass. As you wander up through Guinness Storehouse, you'll discover what goes into making the black stuff - the ingredients, the processes, the
passion. You also have the chance to try to ‘pull your own pint’!

To create a special Welcome to Ireland reception at your hotel, we suggest creating Irish prop stations around the room. There will be whiskey barrels, baskets of
fruit and veg and carts full of brick –a–brac! We can upgrade the linens to burlap material and have special Irish themed centerpieces to feed into the Traditional
Ireland theme and really immerse guests in the destination! We will set up a farmers market with Baileys Tastings, cheesemongers etc. to give guests a chance to
meet the local producers.
We will add to the Welcome to Ireland theme with Dublin’s Fair City Character actors who will greet on arrival and mingle with guests throughout the evening. The
characters will bring the décor to life and offer photo opportunities as well as a fun interaction for the whole group. We can organise for a traditional Irish band to
play bringing all elements of the evening together with the characters teaching guests an Irish dance or two!

Alternatively we can arrange for a harpist or string quartet to play depending on how much of the theme the event leans into.
7 STORY VENUE ON THE SITE OF THE GUINNESS BREWERY

Guinness has been successfully brewed in the Guinness Storehouse since 1759 and now they’re presenting the history of Ireland’s world famous stout in their 7 story visitor
attraction in one of the old fermentation plants. The building has been transformed into the world largest pint of Guinness ready for your group to explore.

The Store House is situated on Crane Street in one of the oldest parts of Dublin what is still part of the massive brewery, one of the biggest in the world. This evening
Nissan will be in the Storehouse afterhours, going through the interactive visitor exhibition before dining in the charming Arrol Suite. Named after Sir William Arrol, the
man responsible for the steelwork of London’s Tower Bridge, Scotland’s Forth Bridge and Dublin’s Guinness Storehouse. The room retains all the original steelwork and tiles
from the old brewery enhanced beautifully by some clever uplighting, the rest of the room will be dressed in a black and white theme to suit the venue. Pint pulling
stations will be set up to allow guests the opportunity to learn how to pour the perfect pint of the black stuff & earn their pint pulling certificate!
To match the venue, we suggest creating a black & white
theme for the night. We can arrange for black and white
chair covers, enhanced linens and upgraded place settings
to make the evening more special.

Always a talking point is the centrepieces we can create
using a dyed Guinness glass & white flowers for high boy
tables as well as a larger arrangements for the main table
creating the illusion of a pint of Guinness!

For entertainment we suggest recreating an Irish dancing
flash mob to surprise your guests. Our dancers will be
wearing aprons and serving your guests from earlier on in
the night, suddenly just after dessert has been served, a
drummer will appear and will starting playing. The servers
will suddenly burst into dance all around the room creating
a spontaneous Irish dance! Click on the link below to get a
sense of how this might work and create the focal point for
the evening.

The Powerscourt Townhouse is located in the very heart of the creative quarter in Dublin’s city centre. It was once the city residence of the Lord Powerscourt, an
esteemed aristocrat in the 18th century and he would use this house to entertain while he was in the city. The beautiful Georgian House was transformed and now is a high
end shopping mall filled with independent shops, boutiques, antique galleries & cafes. It’s all based around the large space in the middle, the former courtyard which has
been roofed. This evening Nissan will take over the Townhouse exclusively and restore it to it’s former glory by hosting a Gatsby themed welcome evening in the courtyard.
Guests will enter through the old Georgian entrance, receive a glass of champagne and enter the courtyard which has been cleared completely and is set up in round tables
for a sit down meal. Hanging from the roof there will be elegant draping which later on will compliment the amazing silk & hoop aerial artists who will perform and create
a spectacular welcome to Ireland!
Tonight the cathedral opens its doors exclusively for you!
Founded in 1172 by Normans on the site of an earlier church, Christchurch was originally a Viking Church. It is today an Anglican cathedral that
has been fully restored at the end of nineteenth century. Several funerary monuments are visible, like the tomb of Strongbow, the first Norman
conqueror of the Island. Christchurch has a crypt which extends under most of its length.
Located on the outskirts of Dublin, Luttrellstown Castle is the venue where David and Victoria Beckham chose to have their lavish wedding many
years ago. We suggest building a purpose built marquee on the grounds of the Castle which can hold your whole group for a sit down meal. As guests
look back over the landscape, the magnificent sight of the uplit castle will greet them creating a beautiful backdrop.

For an unique evening dinner today, we suggest going back in time to a Grand Victorian Garden Party. Revisit the trappings and niceties of a
nostalgia and bygone era by recreating a classic garden party in a marquee in the Walled Garden in Adare Manor.
With original period props, antique furniture, large floral displays bringing the outside into the marquee, garden games on the lawn and
actors to bring the whole event alive – this will be a spectacle to remember. A pop up shop with tweed flat caps and Irish woolen scarves
will be set up for guests to choose their own room gift as well as live entertainment roving through the crowd.
Today we want to turn the ballroom into the set of the popular series Downton Abbey. With pre dinner drinks either on the lawn
or if the pre-function area, guests will enter a new wing of the hotel but feel like they are being transported back in time to
the beginning of the 20th century in all it’s opulence.
