Ground was broken in April 1847 for what was originally
known as The Utica Globe Mill. In 1871 a fire destroyed
the entire mill. Larger and improved buildings were com-
pleted in 1873. Mill operations ceased in 1916. Today,
the Utica Globe Mill is known as The Shoppes At The
Finish Line & Utica Brews and while the industrial history
may have been left behind it is still present not only in
the architecture but the haunting activity that continues.
Many investigations of the Mill have led to countless
paranormal experiences and even the capture of disem-
