Dear Colleagues
We are pleased to inform you that Society of Animal Physiologists of India encompassing XXIX Annual Conference of
Society of Animal Physiologists of India (SAPI) on “Recent approach to escalate livestock productivity under current
socio-economic scenario” will be jointly organized by Bihar Veterinary College, Bihar Animal Sciences University,
Patna-800014, Bihar, India in association with Society of Animal Physiologists of India from 25th to 26th February,
2021 through online mode.
The SAPICON-2021 will bring under one umbrella the eminent scientists, animal physiologist, academicians,
policymakers, and students of Animal sciences to share research findings, ideas, and intellectually explore scope of
Animal Physiology in field of livestock productivity, food security and environmental protection.

About the Host:
Bihar Veterinary College, Patna, the 5th oldest Veterinary College in undivided India was founded on 2nd April, 1927
by Sir Henry Wheeler, the then Governor of Bihar and Orissa. The College made tremendous progress under the
guidance and supervision of Dr. R. T. Davis, the first Principal of this historic College with a team of renowned
scientists specialized in Breeding, Feeding, Management and Disease control of Livestock & Poultry. During the post-
independence period, Bihar Veterinary College developed to its full capacity and occupied a prestigious status
associated with strong academic base for teaching and research in the field of Veterinary Science and Animal
Husbandry as well as advanced Veterinary clinical services to the society. In the beginning (1930-1949), a three-year
diploma course was started awarding G.B.V.C. (Graduate of Bihar Veterinary College) Diploma. Keeping pace with
the advancement of Science & Technology, four-year degree course awarding the degree of B.V.Sc. & A.H. was
started in 1949. In 1971, the BVC was one of the pioneer constituent colleges of Rajendra Agricultural University,
Pusa under Agricultural University System. On 29th August 2016, Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna was
notified by the Govt. of Bihar and BVC is now a constituent college of BASU, Patna with its 16 well equipped
departments.

About SAPI:
To promote professional interactions among the Animal Physiologist to facilitate collaborative research in areas of
national importance, in February 1986 “Society of Animal Physiologists of India” was registered under the Societies
Act. Dr. D. N. Mullick and Dr. M.L. Madan were the first President and Secretary of the society, respectively. The
society is growing continuously and presently the life membership is over 740. By awarding best doctoral and
master’s thesis, the society encourage and promote scientific research among the students in the field of Animal
Physiology and allied subjects. The eminent scientist in the society provide high technical expertise in the field of
Animal Physiology.

will be issued to all the registered participants subject to attending the sessions during this event.

Abstract Submission
   Participants must register before submission of abstracts through online, latest by 12th February,
   2020.
   The soft copy of the abstract containing maximum 250 words (MS word, Double spaced, Font size-12,
   New times roman font) shall be mailed to sapicon2021@gmail.com. The abstract should include title,
   name(s) of author(s), followed by affiliation and address. The name of the presenting author should
   be bold lettered.
   Research work without ethical clearance, as and where required, will not be entertained.
   Corresponding author will be responsible for the ethical dispute, if any.
   All the received abstracts and e-posters will be screened.
   Due to online mode only, few selected abstracts will be allowed for presentation (Oral/Poster). The
   selected candidate for online presentation will be informed via email.
   e-poster (in pdf format) may be sent to sapicon2021@gmail.com
   Poster Size: 3'x4'
   During the registration delegates may exercise their choice of session/mode of presentation.
   However, the decision of the organising committee shall be final.
