it’s been a tradition at Vinewood to promote and celebrate liter-

School” and we have a daily theme for each day of the week
(March 1st - March 5th).

          School Climate Parent Survey
We wish to be responsive to our community and as such are
asking that you complete a parent survey to share with us how
you think we are doing. This parent survey is conducted district
-wide and you can fill it out for each school that your child may
attend. Thank you so very much for your input, in assisting us,
as we move forward with our goal of district improvement. The
deadline to do the survey is March 12th.

             Drive-Thru Library
As of Friday, February 12, 2021, students have been no longer able to physically select library books at the drive-thru
library. All library book selections must be done virtually using Destiny Discover. This new arrangement will allow stu-
dents to browse the entire library for whatever books interest them, and it is safer for all as it will decrease the in-person
contact that takes place between staff members and families that come to obtain books. This arrangement does NOT
affect the pick-up process; library books will still be dropped out/picked up on Fridays from 11am-1pm at the same loca-
        tion.

Below are step-by-step instructions for how to “hold” books using Destiny Discover:

        1. Sign into the Clever Portal

        2. Scroll down to “Other Student Apps”

        3. Locate “Destiny-Vinewood” App

        4. Sign into Destiny using your student Google account

        5. Select the book that you are interested in reading by clicking on the book’s cover image. If that book is available,
you will see a little green icon on the upper left corner of the book cover that says “IN.” To reserve that book, click the
button that says “Hold.” You may “Hold” up to 2 books.

        6. The librarian will prepare your books, which will be available for pick-up the following Friday.

**Please Note: Library books must be reserved by Thursday night. Any books reserved after this time will not be availa-
        ble until the following Friday.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to email me at agalanis@lodiusd.org.
