will be hosted by 20 time LPGA Champion Cristie Kerr at The
Olympic Club, home to the 2012 US Open and future home to the
2021 US Women’s Open, 2028 PGA Championship and 2032 Ryder Cup.

Established on May 6, 1860, The Olympic Club enjoys the distinction
of being one of America’s oldest athletic clubs. Long a west coast
powerhouse in amateur sports, the Club is the home of many local,
regional, national and international champions.

Championship and will host the 2028 PGA Championship

C ristie is one of today’s most prominent Breast Cancer
activists. Having witnessed her mother, aunt and godmother
fight the disease; in 2003 she founded the not-for-profit
organization Birdies for Breast Cancer, which raises money
and awareness to fight the disease.
Since its inception, Birdies for Breast Cancer, a 501(c)(3)
organization, has raised over $3 million dollars. For her efforts,
Cristie was presented with the prestigious Komen Award in
2006. In 2012, Golf Digest featured Cristie in their inaugural
issue of a new charity franchise: “Game Changers: Golfers
who Give Back,” for her work in the fight against Breast
Cancer. Last December at the season ending CME Group
Titleholders event, Cristie was presented with the 2013 KIA
Community Assist Award for her outstanding contributions to
the Jersey City Community. Cristie won a 2014 KIA Cadenza
with the award which was then donated to the Jersey City
Medical Center.
In 2010, Birdies for Breast Cancer partnered with Jersey City Cristie Kerr
Medical Center to create the region’s foremost comprehensive
center specializing in women’s health issues. The Cristie
Kerr Women’s Health Center makes breast cancer screening,
diagnostic testing and treatment programs available to all
women regardless of their ability to pay. The center has
performed over 100,000 procedures since opening in 2010.

state-of-the-art diagnostic breast imaging, including ultrasound,

The Oncoshare Project
T he Stanford-Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF)
Oncoshare Project was founded in 2008 with the goal
of using a “big data” approach to improve breast cancer care.
The mission is to build a comprehensive breast cancer
research tool that integrates data from a number of unique
local and national resources: the statewide, population-based
California Cancer Registry; electronic medical records (EMRs)
from Stanford University Hospital and multiple sites of the
community-based PAMF healthcare system; detailed genomic
sequencing results directly from clinical testing laboratories;
and patient-reported data on cancer care preferences
and experiences.
Spanning two healthcare systems, Oncoshare is unique in its
breadth of focus coupled to its depth of clinical detail. This “big
data” approach enables us to generate high-resolution maps
of breast cancer treatment, and thus to identify care pathways
that yield the best outcomes for patients.

LibertyHealth Foundation
T he LibertyHealth Foundation (a 501(c)(3) organization)
is the philanthropic funding arm of Jersey City Medical
Center, which became a member of Barnabas Health in June
2014. As the area’s only not for profit hospital, Jersey City
Medical Center (JCMC) is dedicated to enhancing the lives
of those in its community – as a regional referral hospital, the
regional trauma center, a teaching hospital, the area’s only
Magnet hospital, and the provider of state of the art medical
treatment in a wide spectrum of medical specialties, including
cardiac surgery, neonatal intensive care, neurology, and more.
The role of the LibertyHealth Foundation is to identify, cultivate,
and educate people who will pledge their support so the
Medical Center can bring talent and technology together to
provide vital medical services in the most effective ways. Private
monies have historically been at the core of great institutions in
America, including universities, humanitarian organizations, and
hospitals. One wonderful example of this is The Cristie Kerr
Women’s Health Center. Cristie Kerr’s celebrity, her generosity,
and her tenacity have combined to create the spirit that drives
us forward, helps women cope with breast cancer, and provides
numerous ways to overcome it.
As Jersey City grows more rapidly than almost any other city
in America, Jersey City Medical Center’s need for an expansion
of its busy Emergency Department becomes more and more
acute. The LibertyHealth Foundation is responding to that
need and is working to insure the medical facilities and services
keep pace with the growth of the city’s diverse communities.
One such project is the new Women’s Center which will provide
a wide variety of medical and related services, including OB/
GYN, cardiology, sports medicine, dermatology, mammography
and more from healthcare professionals who understand
the importance of making the right choices to maintain a
healthy lifestyle.
