AAOF YEAR IN REVIEW 2019
LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT:
As we reflect on 2019, it is important to realize that what we see in
the Foundation today has evolved from a strategic plan put in place a
couple of years ago. For years we have grown the Foundation based 2018-2019 AAOF BOARD
primarily on advancing our specialty through supporting orthodontic
research, our very talented faculty continue to provide us with the OF DIRECTORS
backing and tools we need to be successful practicing orthodontists.
During the past few years, we have broadened our horizon to more

Since 1994, the AAOF Awards Program has
contributed the following to orthodontic
education and research. While keeping the ultimate fiduciary responsibility of the Awards Program, the Foundation
Board has delegated to the Planning and Awards Review Committee (PARC) the responsibility
of reviewing the various applications and recommending which are to be funded, as well as
making recommendations about any alterations in the Foundation’s Awards Program. PARC
