Giving back to the community through a 6-a-side walking
    football tournament which will raise money for a fantastic
                  charity and let people have fun!

The event is in aid of Jacari, a 55 year old charity which supports children who
do not speak English as their first language. Jacari match these children up with
personal private tutors. Our event will raise vital funds for Jacari, furthermore,
the winning team will have some funds donated to their charity of choice!!!

The event will take place on the 19th January 2020 on the 3G pitch at Bisham
Abbey National Sports Centre and will have a lower age limit of 50 years old.

Bisham Abbey is a UK sport elite training venue who host national teams from
various sports. The venue will also host a Euros 2020 football nation and has the
infrastructure to make the event an overwhelming success.

Information about the event:
   •    The event will kick off at 10:30am on Sunday 19th January 2020.
   •    Free parking is available.
   •    Changing room facilities and showers at the venue.
   •    Café for refreshments.
   •    Games will be officiated by FA qualified referees.
   •    Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.
   •    Limited number of team spaces available.
   •    Trophy will be awarded to the winning team.
   •    Spectators are welcome – will be a family friendly event.

Key points
   • There will be 2 tournaments:
        1. Over 50s – 16 teams
        2. Over 60s – 8 teams
   • All entrants will be involved in the group stages.
   • The teams will be drawn into four groups for the Over 50s tournament (A-
     D) and two groups for the Over 60s tournament (A-B).
   • The top 2 teams in each group will qualify for the knockout stages in both
     the Over 50s and Over 60s tournament.

Setup
   •    One 3G pitch will be divided into four small sided pitches.
   •    Two small sided pitches will be used for the Over 60s tournament.
   •    Four small sided pitches will be used for the Over 50s tournament.
   •    Two of the small sided pitches will be shared for the two tournaments.

How the groups are formed
   • All the teams in the draw will be split into 2 tiers, the top four highest
     rated teams will be in tier 1 and make up the top team in each of the
     groups (A-D for Over 50s and A-B for Over 60s). The remainder teams will
     be in tier 2.
   • For the Over 50 tournament, South East England will make up 2 of the top
     4 tier one teams, therefore they will have a team in 2 different groups.
   • Tiers will be based on establishment, setups, club reputations and recent
     record (W/L/D) of teams.
   • Based on these tiers, all the teams will be divided into two pots with pot 1
     containing all tier 1 teams, followed by pot 2 containing all tier 2 teams.
   • Each group will have one team from pot 1 and three teams from pot 2.
   • The draw will take place on Wednesday 8th January 2020 in Oxford at the
     Jacari office, time TBC.

   • For the draw, we will share several photos with media, including behind-
     the-scene images, and shots of the draw and trophy.
   • The draw will be covered on the following accounts:

   • The final groups will also be emailed to all clubs.

Over 50s tournament
   • All games will have a duration of 20 minutes with 25-minute slots.
   • Tournament will kick off at 10:30am.

Over 60s tournament
   • All games will have a duration of 20 minutes with 25-minute slots.
   • Tournament will kick off at 11:20am.

Group stages
   • 3 points will be awarded for a win.
   • 1 point will be awarded for a draw.
   • If teams have the same number of points, then goal difference will be used
     to determine league position.
   • If teams have the same number of points and goal difference, then head
     to head will be used to determine the league position.
   • If teams have the same points, goal difference, and the head to head was
     a draw, then goals for will be used to determine the league position.
   • If teams have the same points, goal difference, goals for, and the head to
     head was a draw, then the team with the better disciplinary record will be
     used to determine the league position for who qualifies.
   • If all the above is still the same, then a penalty shootout will be used to
     determine the league position for who qualifies.

Game Laws
   • Unlimited rolling subs will be allowed for all games.
   • All games will be 6-a-side with five outfield players and one goalkeeper.
   • The rules will be based on the FA laws for walking football. However, all
     teams will be briefed on how the games will be refereed prior to
     tournament and on the day of the tournament by our top FA qualified
     walking football referees.

What kind of teams will be participating?
The tournament will feature some of England’s top walking football players with
several high-profile clubs expected to enter:
   •     South East England
   •     Pompey
   •     Oxford United
   •     Godalming
   •     Barnet
   •     Aylesbury United
   •     Cheshunt
   •     Birmingham
   •     Wycombe Wanderers
Not only is this tournament a great community event, but it will give your team
an opportunity to match itself against some of the finest teams in South East
England and beyond!
Media Exposure
There will also be photos taken and we plan on filming the event. If you do not
wish to feature in any photos and/or filming, please inform us on the day.

Player awards
Individual awards will be presented for the following in both the Over 50s and
Over 60s tournaments:
   • Top Scorer
   • Golden Glove
   • Best Player (voted for by players)

Winning teams
The winning teams from each tournament will have prize funds donated to their
charity of choice. The amount of funds donated will be determined by how
much money is raised on the day.

Entrance cost
   • Registration fee of £80 to register a 9-man squad.
   • Teams can register as many players as they want, but a £10 donation will
     be required for every extra player beyond the 9-man squad e.g. it will cost
     £100 for a team to register 11 players.
   • A non-refundable deposit of £30 will be required after signing our e-
     participation form.
   • Deadline for full payment is Monday 6th January 2020.
   • Only direct debit payments will be accepted, and invoices will be provided.

Registration process
The following steps explain how to enter a team:
   1. Email team@charityfootballleague.co.uk with ‘Walking Football Jan 2020’
      in the subject line and the following information in the body of the email:
         ✓ Team name
         ✓ Tournament entering
         ✓ Number of players registering
         ✓ Main contact name, email and number
   2. The main contact will receive an email with the e-participation form which
      they must sign.
   3. Once the form is signed, an email will be sent with a link for deposit
      payment.
   4. The team must make final payment by close of play on Monday 6th January
      2020 at latest.
   5. When final payment is received, an email will be sent to the main contact
      confirming participation.
