Why Bamboo Accents?
For the past 23 years, Bamboo Accents has perfected
the art of making bamboo fountains. Retailers can
be assured that our products are thoroughly tested,
100% insect free, and will hold up to years of use. Our
designs are made to be beautiful, durable, and easy
to install.
Better Bamboo
We use a Vietnamese type of bamboo known as Tam
Vong. Tam Vong is less prone to splitting than Chinese
bamboo, and its unusual combination of strength and pliability mean our fountains last longer than those made from
other types of bamboo. This bamboo is naturally insect resistant and grows without the use of fertilizer or pesticides.
New Packaging
Bamboo Accents is now moving toward a different type of
packaging. The current packaging, which is mounted on a backing
board, will be phased out over the next year. The new packaging
will feature non-woven bags with a drawstring. The advantage
of this new method is more durability and less damage to the
packaging. The disadvantage is that customers cannot see the
bamboo through the bag, which will necessitate retailers to
display examples of the fountains outside of the packaging. The
pump is included in the drawstring bag.
Note that throughout the catalog and on the price list/order
form, there are symbols that show the types of packaging
currently available as of the beginning of 2021. These are boards
and bags. As the year progresses, the boards will be phased out
in favor of the bags. We will try our best to provide the type of
packaging that you request based on availability.

ADJUSTABLE SPOUT & PUMP KIT
Our adjustable fountains include the spout & pump, and can be used with a container or bowl of your choice (see sizing
chart on page 11 for details). They can be raised or lowered to create different sound qualities.
In general, these fountains produce more sound than our other products, making them ideal for drowning out unwanted
noise.
These kits do not include a container. Most garden centers have a wide range
of containers to choose from, or you can get creative and use found objects.
Due to popular demand, we’ve brought back our original style of adjustable
with “Branch Arm” supports. You now have different styles to choose from
depending on the aesthetic that you prefer - adjustable spout with “half-
rounds” or adjustable spouts with “branch arms”.

The medium sized branch arms - our all-time best seller - features the
delicate branch arms that enhance and streamline the design. Adjust the
flow of the water to match your ambiance as this fountain is very versatile
to adjust. The branch arms can be moved higher or lower to provide your
desired look and sound.

How to adjust the height of the adjustable spout
You can easily adjust the suuport arms to raise or lower the height of the
fountain. The 7” and 12” sizes of the half-round style adjust by inserting a
wedge to secure the support piece. For the 18” and 24” sizes, slide the black
string outward, adjust the position, then slide the strings toward the center.

The flat bamboo base gives this style greater stability. Use this size out in
the garden, patio or as an indoor accent. The small size of this fountain
makes it easier to run in the background without drawing too much
attention.

This fountain features a wider upright pole, atop two delicate bamboo
branches. Most people use this in an outdoor setting due to its larger
size (and louder noise).
How to Make the Ideal Sound
Since sound is a very important aspect of your fountain, you might want
to fine-tune the setup in order to optimize the sound. The pump’s water
flow rate is adjustable, so you can play with what sounds best in your
environment. You can also adjust the height of the water drop to make
more or less sound. Lastly, you can change the contact surface where the
water lands by adding stones or other materials.
How to Reduce Splashing
• Direct the water flow to the edge of the bowl
• Rig a flat wire mesh screen on the surface of the water to catch the
water stream
• Use water plants or prop up some potted plants on bricks

ROCKING FOUNTAIN SPOUT & PUMP KIT

WATER LADLE
Water features can be accessorized in many ways. A bamboo water ladle
evokes a meditative and spiritual aspect. Traditionally used in Japanese
tea ceremonies and natural water spring fountains, the bamboo ladle gives
water a sense of purpose and invitation.

SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS
All of our kits come with the appropriate submersible pump, but it is still good
to have a selection available in your store. Often customers will want to design
their own fountains or need a replacement pump for their existing water
features. These pumps are reliable, quiet, and come with a one-year warranty.

Pump Maintenance
Our pumps are very reliable, but proper maintenance is important. Be sure to keep enough
water in the container to prevent the pump from running dry. If the pump makes noise or
doesn’t pump water, first try tapping it gently on the bottom of the pot or unplugging and
re-plugging the electrical cord. If the pump starts to make a different sound, remove the
front grill and use a toothbrush to gently clean the impeller. Some customers wrap their
pump in a nylon stocking to filter debris and algae.
