     While winter is beginning in Europe, we make our way across the Atlantic to discover
     the Caribbean - always facing the sunset. You can join the adventure as a sailor you will
     be asked to assist in sail setting and other task on board , if you join as a crew member
     you will be assigned to a watch system and actively involved in life on board. On this
     trip, we sail the classic Atlantic route as it was done hundreds of years ago. With the
      :
     NE-trade   winds, we will only sail if possible. For this, we have taken more time in the
     route planning. If the wind is okay with us, we should arrive at our destinations a few
     days before. This means that you have time to discover the country, people, culture and
     highlights. You can either sail along the whole route or just a part of it

The route
Through the busy Gibraltar channel we leave the Mediterranean sea behind and set sail towards
the Canary Islands . Now sailing the Atlantic you might see Whales. and quickly you will get used
to your watch rotation. With 15 knots of wind, Florette should make 6-7 knots. To the Canary
Island are 800 NM distance with a wind of 4 Beaufort we should reach it after 5 to 6 days the
first Island. Depending on the weather, the time we make a stop in Lanzarote or
Fuerteventura. Our next Port will be Santa Cruz on the island of Tenerife .
Tenerife with it's 2 airports can easly be reached if you decide to join us in Tenerife.

When leaving Tenerife we will sail south to follow the NE trade winds. Depending on the
weather maps, we are heading towards Cape Verde or towards the Caribbean.

 November is the best month to make this Atlantic crossing but we will also experience rain,
thunderstorms and gusts Wind.
During the day, the sun is almost directly over your head, but at night you will discover a clear
sky full of stars (no light pollution in the middle of the Atlantic!)

This hands-on adventure requires everyone to learn how to sail on Florette Our experienced
crew will teach you what you need to know to cross the Atlantic safely you will learn/We will
teach you how to keep Florette on course , setting sails , if you are not afraid of hight
claiming the rig to pack or set sails ,watch keeping and give a hand to the crew

 There is time to relax but you will never get bored. No experience is required to take part in
this trip, but a positive and helpful attitude is an absolute must. You must be sea-keeping,
good physical fitness and adventurous.
Captain Rony will put the team together and pay attention to have a good group structure.

The distance from Tenerife to Grenda its about 2900 NM sailing at 6 knots averages it will take
us 20 days to cross the Atlantic. If we keep this pace we might spend a few days visting
Islands enroute.Destination Port is Grenada with Port Louis... Time to relax and discover this
beautiful Caribbean island and celebrate a successful crossing

Cancellation:

Your deposit will be non-refundable after the
date of booking. If you cancel your booking 45
days or more before the date of departure we
will refund 50% of money paid, excluding your
deposit. If a cancellation is made within 45
days of departure no refund will be made.

Miscellaneous:
Each participant requires a passport that is
valid for a minimum of 6 months before
travelling, travel health insurance, and a
medical certificate. You should be healthy
and fit (see voyage crew form), have visited a
dentist before travelling, and have the
necessary vaccinations. Just drop a line to
