The technical features of the new
buildings
The new buildings will have a B/B energy
performance certificate, low energy consumption,
and be connected to a highly energy-efficient
cogeneration plant in the area. Its energy-efficient
façade will have a pixelated, double skin system
with internal blinds to reduce excess heat. The
towers will be cooled by thermo-active concrete and
use natural ventilation to ensure the desired level of
comfort while saving energy.

Meanwhile, 21 multi-disciplinary workgroups have
been created to pool knowledge regarding
technological advances and coordinate the technical
move into the new premises.

Speaking of the challenges faced by the project
team, Stéphane Geerts, Vice President of Internal
Services and Facility Management at CLT-UFA and
a member of the RTL City Project team, says: “The
main challenges are definitely linked to our media
activities. The construction of the base, for example,
was incredibly complex, starting with the TV studios
in the basement, which requires a completely empty
space without support columns. The complete
absence of columns required huge beams to be Stéphane Geerts, Vice President of Internal Services

“I’m very happy to be here and to see so many interested faces,” said
Guillaume de Posch, before giving an overview of the three pillars
of RTL Group’s strategy – broadcast, content and digital. “Television
is and will remain strong if we create and test new ideas, inventing
new ideas every day. We have to acquire and build must-see TV. We
must collaborate with production companies, invest in new talent and
strengthen our family of channels. We also have to find new ideas
to develop non-advertising revenues,” said de Posch. Regarding the
digital pillar, he added: “This is the pillar we want to expand.”

Guillaume de Posch at RTL Hrvatska During his visit to Croatia RTL Group Co-CEO Guillaume de Posch had the chance to
                                                              visit RTL Hrvatska’s technical departments

Guillaume de Posch’s speech was followed by a presentation by
Henning Tewes, CEO of RTL Hrvatska, who talked about the launch
of the three new pay TV channels, RTL Passion, RTL Living and
RTL Crime, as well as the re-launch of the website. He also gave a

                                       half of the year.

“All shows we have launched since the beginning of this year are
winning their slots. As the number two channel group, we cannot fight
everywhere, but when we fight, we fight to win. Our audience shares
are growing - in prime time and throughout the day. We are up and in
contrast to past years and we are going to grow,” said Tewes.

was attended by 38 delegates from 21 partner
                                          companies.
                                          Luxembourg – 6 July 2015

The event kicked off with a tour of the TV 2 studios followed by a visit
to the high-tech team covering the Danish elections that day. The
collaborating technical experts discussed the future of the news industry
and the opportunities and challenges faced in today’s digital world. The
focus this year shifted more toward external speakers in order to bring
their expertise to the discussions. They included Lars Nielson, CTO
of Ericsson, who spoke about the part 4G/LTE communications can
play in content delivery for broadcasters, and Henrik Norrelykke, Vice
President of Cobham Satcom, who underlined the big part traditional
satellite broadcasting still has to play.

Adrian Wells, Managing Director of Enex, said: “We are seeing a
growing role for IP and cellular distribution, but it is becoming clear that
more traditional technologies still have a big part to play. There is a
huge opportunity for Enex to provide real benefits from the opportunities
presented by the mix of these new and old technologies on behalf of all

                       Germany – 6 July 2015

The new quiz show stars comedian and mastermind Bernhard Hoëcker
and quizmaster Elton, who attempt to answer the challenging questions
posed by host Kai Pflaume, each with the help of a different celebrity
guest. These questions are sometimes bizarre and may be about
science, wildlife or simply general knowledge questions. Bernhard
and Elton compete against each other with the aim of winning as
much money as possible for their supporters in the studio, because
at the beginning of each show, the audience are asked to take sides:
Bernhard Hoëcker or Elton. At the end of the show, the winnings are
divided among those in the studio audience who guessed correctly.
The game is played with the help of a large, interactive game screen
                       with 12 different categories.

As the host of BBC Radio 1’s Breakfast show since 2012, Nick Grimshaw
is one of the most respected Radio DJs in the business. A massive
champion of music, he will bring a new and fresh perspective to the
panel in the search for the next big singing sensation. Nick Grimshaw
says: “I love X Factor and have watched the series religiously since it
started, so obviously I’m hugely excited to be joining the show. Music
is my job and my passion and I’m really looking forward to seeing what
talent we can find and nurture this year. I can’t wait for Judges Houses
        in Oldham!”

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini returns to the panel for her fifth series, after
last year taking Lauren Platt all the way to the semi-finals. As the only
British female to have five solo number one singles in the UK, Cheryl
is one of the nation’s most successful female recording artists. Cheryl
Fernandez-Versini says: “I haven’t been as excited about an X Factor
season since I first became a judge. The addition of Rita and Grimmy
along with some interesting changes we’ve made to the format has

I cannot wait to get started!”

Simon Cowell highlights: “It’s taken a while! But I am very happy to
be able to confirm our line-up of judges for The X Factor this year. The
combination of Nick, Cheryl and Rita is going to be a lot of fun! They
all bring a lot of enthusiasm and passion for music to the show. I have
a feeling I am in for a bit of a rough time but sometimes you have to
embrace the craziness and now, with luck, we hope to find a star.”

Richard Holloway, acting CEO, FremantleMedia UK, says: “Rita
and Nick are brilliant additions to the panel. Nick began his career
in the music business and is hugely passionate about finding and

format-free, out-of-the-box collaborative efforts by working together
with advertisers in an effort to showcase the values of their brands
and associate them with the programmes broadcast on our channels.

and fashion hot spots in the most densely populated cities of Belgium.”

Valérie Morfitis, Unilever’s Country Media Manager, says: “Axe is
a global brand whose marketing mix has developed internationally.
Alongside more conventional campaigns designed to raise its profile,
we are firm believers in the fundamental value of embedding the brand
in a local context. We brought in one partner in the north and IP TV in
the south to work on the joint development of content relevant to Axe’s
core target group. Our aim in so doing was to enlist our consumers’
Stéphane Coruble, Director, IP TV
loyalty to the brand in Belgium. This top-quality content is of course
broadcast on Plug RTL, but is also disseminated via our digital, multi-
channel communication plan so as to increase the number of touch
                                    points with our customers”.

Axe Brand Manager Ankatrin Pessemier adds: “Axe Black is a totally
new kind of Axe. In a world that is becoming increasingly agitated,
we are looking for subtlety, as expressed by our slogan “Less is
more”. The collaboration with Plug RTL on the Axe Black Guide is
totally in keeping with this strategy. Together with several magnetic
personalities, we will go in search of the coolest hangouts in a number
of large cities. We are also creating unique content that we will be
able to share across different platforms, thereby extending our reach
beyond the conventional channels used to advertise.”
