                                  GENERAL INFORMATION
 Welcome to the Clash for Cash cattle show. We are very excited to be offering the cattle show at this year’s
                                        Clash for Cash Jackpot Show!

JUDGE: Amanda Schnoor, Chowchilla, CA

GENERAL SHOW RULES
 1. This is a Jr. Livestock Show and classes are open to all junior exhibitors 5 through 21 years of age as of
     January 1st, 2019.
 2. No smoking will be allowed in the barn area.
 3. The fairgrounds reserves the right to remove any competitor or spectator for any conduct that reflects
     poorly on the event.
 4. Each exhibitor must show his/her own animal. Any exception must be approved prior to the show by
     show management. If, and only if, a showman is currently showing one animal and has another animal
     to show simultaneously, an alternate showman is acceptable.
 5. The Show Management reserves the right to change the show schedule and classes to improve the
     show.
 6. Ethical treatment of all animals and ethical conduct is expected by all exhibitors, parents, and fitters.
 7. Any animal exhibiting signs of an infectious or unsightly condition will not be permitted to show.
 8. Any animal that is deemed a safety hazard by show management will be disqualified with no refund.
 9. No dogs will be allowed at or around the show ring area.
 10. Out of State exhibitors must provide show management the appropriate health inspections and brand
     inspections at the time of check-in.

 ENTRY RULES
 1. Entry Fees:
     a.        Heifer Show: $35 per entry
     b.        Steer Show: $35 per entry
     c.        Beef Showmanship: $20 per entry
     d.        Late Entry: Additional $10 per entry (If received after April 8th.)
 2. Entries must be received by Monday, April 8th. The entry fees must accompany the official entry form.
 3. Late entries will be charged an additional $10 per entry. Entries received after Monday - April 8th are
    considered late and must pay the additional late entry fee of $10 per entry.
 4. Make Checks Payable to the Yuba-Sutter Fair and send to 442 Franklin Avenue, Yuba City, CA 95991
 5. Entries can be received by email. Email entries to ceo@ysfair.com .
 6. Emailed entries must be received and paid with a credit card by the entry deadline date in order to not
    have the additional $10 per entry late fee charged.
 7. Hand delivered entries will be accepted at the fairgrounds office. Credit Card payments will be
    accepted.

 ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
 1. Barns will be open to receive entries starting 8:00 am on Friday, April 12th.
 2. All Heifer & Steer must be in place and checked in by 7:00 pm on Saturday, April 13th.
 3. All livestock must be removed by 10:00 pm on Sunday, April 14th.
Clash for Cash Cattle Show
STALLING:
1. Bedding will not be provided by the fairgrounds.
2. Bedding can be provided by the exhibitor or it will be available for purchase at the show.
3. No straw bedding will be allowed.
4. Exhibitors will be responsible for cleaning the stall area prior to departure.
5. There will be no pre-assigned stalls. Exhibitors may choose their own tie area on a first come-first
    served basis.
6. Exhibitors may choose to show out of their livestock trailers.
7. Power is limited in the barns. Highly recommended to bring generators as an alternate source of power.

WEIGH-INS
1. All Market Steers & Market Heifers must be weighed in on Saturday between 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
   There will be no weigh-ins on Sunday.
2. Weight discrepancies must be decided before the animal leaves the scale.

RV CAMPING
1. RV Camping spaces are available on the fairgrounds. The cost is $30 per night for electrical and water
    hookups.
2. All campers must register with the fair office.
3. Camping fees are payable to the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds.

                                    SHOW INFORMATION
Heifer Show
1. CJLA Sanctioned Show.
2. All heifers must be in place and checked-in by 7:00 pm Saturday, April 13th.
3. All registered heifers must registered in the exhibitor’s name. The registration papers must be presented
   at the time of check-in.
4. The registered heifer show will include the following breed classes: Angus, Hereford (Polled & Horned),
   Shorthorn, Charolais, Main Anjou/Maintainer, Chi/Chi X, All Other Breeds (AOB).
5. The Commercial Heifer Show is for non-registered/grade heifers. The Champion Commercial Heifer is not
   eligible to compete for Supreme Champion Heifer.

Steer Show
1. CJLA Sanctioned Show.
2. All Market Steers must be officially weighed-in on Saturday, April 13th between 5 pm to 7 pm.
3. The steer show will have two divisions: Prospect and Progress. Divisions & Classes will be divided by weight
   classifications after the weigh-in. Weight classes will be posted the morning of the show.
4. The steer show will have three breed/color divisions:
            a. British (Registered Shorthorn, Angus, Hereford – to be shown together)
            b. All Other Color (AOC)
            c. Black/Black X
5. Official Breed/Color classification will be verified and determined at the scales during weigh-in.
6. A copy of the registration papers for British Steers must accompany the entry form at the time of entry. All
   British Steers must be verified by a registration paper.

Market Heifer Show
1. CJLA Sanctioned Show.
2. All Market Steers must be officially weighed-in on Saturday, April 13th between 5 pm to 7 pm.
3. The Market Heifer show will not be broken by breed/color, ONLY by weight. There will not be a Prospect
   or Progress Division. Only an overall Champion & Reserve Champion Market Heifer will be selected.
4. The Overall Champion Market Heifer will compete in the Supreme Champion “Steer” Selection.

Showmanship
1. CJLA Sanctioned Show.
2. Cattle Showmanship ages will be based on the age of the exhibitor as of January 1, 2019.
3. Age Divisions will include:
            a. Pee Wee Beef Showmanship: Ages 8 and under
            b. Junior Beef Showmanship: Ages 9-12
            c. Intermediate Beef Showmanship: Ages 13-15
            d. Senior Beef Showmanship: Ages 16-21
4. All exhibitors must show their own heifer or steer.
5. All animals showed in showmanship must be entered in a steer or heifer class by the same exhibitor.
6. Fitting is optional for showmanship.
