                 It is common to see weight loss as a
                 result of following The Myers Way®
                 protocol. For some, this may be
                 beneficial. However, I also see patients
                 who are of normal weight or who are
                 underweight, so losing additional weight
                 while on the protocol is a
                 concern. If you are struggling to
                 maintain or gain weight while following
                 The Myers Way®, focus on increasing
                 healthy fats! One way to do this is by
                 incorporating a smoothie (such as this
                 one!) into your diet as a meal

                 replacement or snack.

                 Fats naturally have greater than two
                 times the calories per gram than
                 proteins or carbohydrates. Thus, they
                 are a great way to add beneficial
                 calories to your diet without adding too
                 much ‘bulk’. Examples of healthy fats
                 include extra virgin olive oil,
                 coconut/coconut oil and coconut butter,
                 grapeseed oil, animal fats,
                 avocado/avocado oils, and flaxseed oil!

Replace that sugar-filled (and energy
draining) chai latte with this gut soothing
smoothie for a healthy and energizing
morning treat!

The cinnamon in this recipe can help
regulate and balance blood sugars as well
as fight fungal/bacterial infections, while
the ginger will help sooth the stomach,
reducing nausea and vomiting. As a
member of the ginger family, the

anything! This recipe utilizes dandelion root tea

Golden Milk
If you’ve been trying to ditch caffeine, this
golden milk recipe is a great alternative. It
makes starting off your day easy and yummy!

Golden Milk is all the rage right now – and for
good reason! It’s bursting with health benefits,
and is great for fighting inflammation! For an
extra boost of gut repairing properties, I even
added collagen into the mix!

The turmeric in this recipe not only gives the

milk its golden color, but it’s active chemical,
curcumin, is a potent antioxidant praised for
it’s ability to reduce the inflammation and pain
of autoimmunity or chronic inflammation! It is
absorbed best when consumed with some fat
(found in the coconut oil) and black pepper. By
consuming it in a beverage like golden milk,
you get local effects in the gut resulting in even
more gut healing than just curcumin
supplements alone!

Dandelion Root Café Latté                            Golden Milk
 Serves 1                                            Serves 1-2

 1 Roasted Dandelion Root tea bag                    1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
 11/2 cups filtered water                            1 tbsp The Myers Way® Collagen Protein

 1/8 tsp vanilla extract                             1 tbsp coconut oil
 1/4 cup full fat coconut milk                       1/2 tsp ground turmeric

Mango Coconut
Yogurt Popsicles
This recipe is a perfect way to get some gut
healing collagen in for kids and adults alike!
The collagen and coconut yogurt give the
popsicles blood sugar balancing and gut
healing properties by adding some healthy fats
and protein. In addition, using coconut yogurt
rather than coconut milk helps add a probiotic
boost to further help with balancing out your
gut. Coconut yogurts often can have a lot of

Mango Coconut
Yogurt Popsicles
 Serves 6                                            STEP 1 Blend up mango into a puree. Add
                                                     in turmeric and collagen and pulse until
 1-2 large mangos, diced                             incorporated. In a separate bowl, combine

                                                     pouring mango puree and coconut yogurt into

Strawberries and Cream
Cheesecake Bites
 Makes approximately 15 bites
                                           STEP 1 Place all ingredients for bites into a high

                                           Place mixture into a bowl and chill in refrigerator

 Serves 8                                     STEP 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine
                                              crust ingredients in food processor until a dough

 Serves 16                                  STEP 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease
                                            an 8x8 baking pan. Combine dry ingredients,

 ¼ cup cassava flour                        banana, coconut oil, apple cider vinegar, and
