B. Accommodation
The city of San Sebastián is a very popular tourist destination and hotels are usually booked out. Thus, we
strongly recommend booking the accommodation as early as possible. Pensions may be a more economical
alternative to hotels; they are of lower standard but never bad. We suggest visiting the website of the Tourist

The evening reception on 15 October and the conference dinner scheduled for 16 October, will take place in the

C. How to reach San Sebastián?
     By Plane

Within the radius of about 100 km from San Sebastián, there are three airports (two of them international):

    1) San Sebastián Airport (Spain) – the nearest one (20 km) with flight connections to the major Spanish
       cities like Madrid and Barcelona.
    2) Biarritz Airport (France) – 47 km away; served by French and international low-cost companies.
    3) Bilbao Airport (Spain) – connections to all major European cities; it is placed 105 km away from the city
       of San Sebastián.

     By Train

Train station "Estación del Norte" in San Sebastián offers good connections when arriving from one of the
Spanish cities. For further details, please consult Renfe rail service via http://www.renfe.com. Arrivals from
France, for instance, are managed by the company SNCF, accessible via https://www.sncf.com.

     By Car and / or by Bus

D. How to reach the conference venue from San Sebastián?
The event will be held at the building of Orona Fundazioa, located in the area called Orona-Ideo (see section A
for web-link and pictures).

     Public Transportation
There are bus lines G1 and G2 commuting every 15 minutes from San Sebastián city centre to Hernani and back.
The stop for Orona Ideo is called “Galarreta”.
