                           Hello and welcome to our optional booklet for 2018.

                           We have created individual books for all of our regions, so
                           if you are studying in England, Scotland, Vancouver, Toron-
                           to, San Diego or New York, you will find a much greater
                           selection of entrances suggested to enhance your time
                           with Oxford International.

                           As well as new attractions, we have expanded those that
                           are able to offer that little something extra for students,
                           whether through workshops, private collections or alter-
                           native tours. Each page contains an overview of the desti-
                           nation, what the students will see and do, and what they
                           get for their money. On most attractions they can benefit

                           questions.
Optional excursions 2018
                           It is very helpful for us if you book these optional excur-
                           sions ahead of your trip. However, it is of course possible
                           for your group leaders to book them from their Activity
                           Manager when they arrive at their centres. Please note
                           that this list is by no means exhaustive. If there is some-
                           where not listed here that your groups really want to see,
                           please contact us and we will gladly price the excursion for
                           you. We look forward to meeting you all soon and here’s to
                           a successful and enjoyable stay with Oxford International!

                           Prices in this booklet are per student, based on a group
                           average of 15 students and 1 group leader. Prices may
                           change depending on your group size. Transport for most
                           admissions will be by public transit, however prices for
                           private buses can be provided upon request.

Hockey is an integral part of Canadian culture.
This is a must see for sports fans and those
who just want to better understand why
hockey is so important to Canadians. The

merchandising. On top of that you will find
hockey related merchandise and souvenirs for

Rogers Centre is one of the most dynamic and

Toronto FC
You haven't heard screaming fans until you've
seen TFC! Toronto has built an amazing soccer
culture around a team that really cares about
its city. Super fans come out to every game at
the newly expanded BMO field. In 2016, a
record crowd of 36,000 spectators was
treated to one of the most memorable playoff
games in Major League Soccer history, leading
TFC to become the first ever Canadian team to
advance to the MLS Cup final!

Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls is a world-renowned sight. This adventure
has got everything you need to have an amazing day!
Seen by many as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in
the world, the tour to Niagara Falls takes you right into
the heart of the falls with the Hornblower boat ride. The
nearby     town    of    Niagara-on-the-Lake     provides
spectacular photo opportunities, or you can enjoy

Canada, Montreal and Quebec City are
must-see locations for Canadians and
international travelers alike. Enjoy strolling
through the winding alley ways of Old
Quebec City or Montreal to find the perfect
hidden coffee shop. The tour who is full of

                                                  lived till you’ve tried the secret burger joint in the posh Parker
                                                  Meridian Hotel, with old brick walls signed by all your favorite
                                                  celebrities. Capture a photo of the leaves budding in Central Park,
                                                  whisk down 5th Avenue riding the green wave of traffic lights, or
                                                  ride the water taxi for the absolute best view of the Statue of
                                                  Liberty. The local folks are friendly, the pizza is distinctly NYC and
                                                  nothing compares to your first trip through the Lincoln Tunnel
                                                  straight under the Hudson River.

IELTS Test
Oxford International’s downtown affiliate schools are also
official IELTS test centers! Students and/or leaders can sit
for the exam on any day the test is offered, and will enjoy
our professionally administered exams in a comfortable,
friendly environment. Both the speaking and the written
exam can be taken in one day, and exams are typically
given on three Saturdays and one Thursday of each
month. If students are travelling across North America,
they can also take the IELTS test at one of our 14 other test
locations across Canada and the USA.

Cambridge’s IELTS exam is the premiere qualification for
entrance to Universities in English-speaking countries, for
immigration and for professional requirements. With
superior recognition, the exam is preferred by students
and Universities for its accuracy, fairness and assessment
method. Featuring a paper-based written exam and an
in-person interview for speaking, the IELTS exam is the
gold standard in higher-education admission qualifica-
tions.

IELTS Tests can also be reserved and added to the
year-round and summer programs in all of our locations in
North America. Please confirm the dates and details with
the sales team if you have any interested groups and
individual students.
