• CONSTRUCTION
Permitted materials are listed in chapter 11, Safety Advice, as well as the conditions of use.
The fire reaction reports of all materials used must be drawn up and presented by the person
in charge of the stand when the Safety Commission carries out its inspection.
Foreign reports cannot be taken into consideration. Reports issued by approved French
accredited laboratories only are accepted.

• MOUNTING
To order the supply of electricity (for the intermittent and permanent meters), see chapter 7.
• SAFETY INSPECTION
When the Safety Commission makes its inspection (which takes place on the eve or the
morning of the opening), the exhibitor is required to be present on the stand and must be in
a position to supply the fire reaction reports on all the materials used (you will be informed
of the date in due course).
• CAUTION
The use of sound amplifiers to attract the attention of the public is strictly prohibited. Any
exceptions to this rule can only be granted by PC MEDIA and in writing.

During the days on which the exhibition is open, deliveries are authorized from 8 a.m. until
10 a.m. (parking restricted to thirty minutes).
During this period exhibitors must make sure they are in possession of the appropriate
handling equipment, as no equipment will be loan by the site operator.
DISMANTLING

CAUTION: Exhibitors having opted for the equipped booth formula are requested to remove
their equipment on Friday, November 16th between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.

REGULATIONS TO BE COMPLIED WITH IN ORDER TO
ENSURE THE PROPER COURSE OF THE ERECTION AND
DISMALTING OPERATION
We recommend you keep any equipment likely to be stolen out of sight. The control of the
outputs being able to escape the vigilance of the security service, it is strongly advised to you
not leave your stand unattended.
o Do not forget to empty any items of furniture rented of their contents and please leave
the keys on them.
o Placing your waste into the walkway the closure evening. The cleaning staff will take it
out.
o Any goods and installations not removed by this date (Friday, November 16th at 8 p.m.)
may be put into storage at the exhibitor’s expense and risks.
o Your stand location must be returned in the state in which you found it. Make sure any
refuse is removed. Any damage found on the dismantling of the stands will be invoiced
to the exhibitor responsible.
Reminder: during the exhibition, no requisition of equipment will be authorised without a
requisition note (to be issued by the Operations Office). No requisition note will be issued
after Friday, November 16th at 2.30 p.m.
In order to improve traffic movements during busy periods (mounting and dismantling
operations) in the Paris Event Center unloading bay area, the following measures will be
implemented:
1. Light vehicles
Access stay free during the erection and dismantling operations. After unloading, light vehicles
will be directed to the car park.
The parking period cannot exceed 30 minutes.
2. Vans and heavy goods vehicles
Access stay free during the erection and dismantling operations.
Vans and heavy goods vehicles with valid parking card passes will be directed to the car park.

3. Users
All users are required to leave free access to the various buildings and fire hydrants so as not
to hamper the action of the security and emergency services. The traffic routes are clearly
marked out. Parking is strictly prohibited and any vehicles parked will be removed.
4. Deliveries
Deliveries during the days on which the exhibition is open are authorized every day from 8
a.m. until 10 a.m., access.
The duration of deliveries is restricted to 30 minutes
For any special deliveries during times when the premises are open to the public, a special
permit must be obtained from the Operations Office (or from the organizers before the
exhibition).
5. Surveillance
Responsibility for the general surveillance of the exhibition under the best conditions is
assumed by the organizer, but this only involves an obligation of means and not of results. You
can have your installations guarded, especially at night, by employing the services of a private
security firm (Chap. 8).
IMPORTANT:
ANY VEHICLE CONTRAVENING THE ABOVE PARKING REGULATIONS WILL BE REMOVED
WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE AT THE OWNER’S EXPENSE AND RISKS.

POWER ENERGY
Light Event provides a power supply up to 72 kW without any limit.
Because of safety rules it is mandatory to have electric meter / power switch in each stand
with a minimum of 3kW.
Anything above the 3-kW limit will have to be directly with organizer PC MEDIA (form below)
INSURANCE
PC MEDIA is insured in civil responsibility as « exhibition organizer ».
Concerning theft and damage of material on display in your stand, a mandatory all risks
insurance must be signed by each exhibitor under the limits of the mentioned conditions
(attached in this chapter). All extensions to this policy must be formulated with a company of
your choice.
BADGES
Exhibitors badges are included in your right of admission (free of charge) they will be sent to
the front desk of PARASITEC Exhibition fair during the set up.

78000 VERSAILLES une police d’assurance garantissant les marchandises, le matériel, les aménagements et ornements de
stands appartenant aux exposants contre toutes pertes ou dommages résultant de : VOL, INCENDIE, FOUDRE, EXPLOSIONS,
DEGATS OCCASIONNELS PAR LES EAUX, DESTRUCTION TOTALE OU PARTIELLE POUR CAUSE ACCIDENTELLE pendant leur
séjour, à l’emplacement que ces objets doivent occuper durant la manifestation, délais d’installation et d’enlèvements

S’il s’agit d’un vol ou d’une disparition, l’exposant ou ses représentants doivent en faire la déclaration à la police locale contre
récépissé dans les 24 heures qui suivent la constatation.
Dans les 5 jours, il devra fournir un état détaillé et estimatif certifié des objets détériorés, détruits ou dérobés et en cas de
vol ou disparition remettre à la police locale un double de cet état.
Dans TOUS LES CAS où la responsabilité d’un tiers peut être mise en cause, l’exposant devra prendre immédiatement toutes
mesures pour conserver les recours contre le tiers.
Faute de se conformer à ces dispositions, l’exposant se verra déchu de tout droit à l’indemnité.

FIRE SAFETY DURING TADE SHOWS
AND EXHIBITIONS
You will find below the safety rules applicable to exhibition halls regarding fire and panic risks
for establishments open to the public.
The Safety Commission – which inspects the site on the eve or the opening morning of the
event – ensures that the stands are built to the required standards (stability, construction and
decoration materials, electrics, etc.). When the Commission makes its inspection, the
installation must be complete and the exhibitor (or their agent) must be present.
Technical drawings and information must be submitted to the organiser of the exhibition at
least one month before (September 19th 2018) the event opens, for approval by the safety
officer in charge of implementing the safety measures. For any further information on this

1 - CONSTRUCTION OF STANDS
1.1 Framework of stand and partitions
The following are authorised for the construction of the framework, the major items of
furniture (cash deck, counter, display unit, separating screen, etc.) and the stand partitioning:
any materials of class MO (fire-proof), M1, M2 or M3 (1).
Note: panels made of wood or derivatives of wood (plywood, laths, etc.) are deemed to be
class M3.
Caution: It is strictly forbidden to install any structure whatsoever above the aisles (advertising
signs or fascia, walkways, etc.).
1.2 Wall coverings (apart from shows and stands dedicated to interior decorating
activities).
Wall coverings must be made of materials of class M0, M1 or M2 (1).
Coverings such as fabrics, paper and plastic films may be used glued solid to bases made of
materials of class M0, M1, M2 or M3.

1.3 Net curtains
Any net curtains may be floating if they are made of materials of class M0, M1 or M2 (1). They
are however prohibited on stand entrance and exit doors.

1.4 Floor coverings
Floor covering must be made of class M3 materials and solidly fixed in place.
1.5 Furniture
No requirements are laid down for ordinary items of furniture (tables, chairs, etc.) apart
from counters, shelving (etc.) that must be made of class M3 (1) materials.
1.6 Floral decorations (apart from shows and stands dedicated to floral activities).
The use of floral decorations made of plastic materials not having any fire classification should
be restricted. If there are a large number of decorative items, these should be made of class
M2 materials.
1.7 Ceilings
Ceiling, false ceilings and solid canopies must have a covered area of less than 300 square
metres. There are no restrictions on those made with canopies of the open worked type.
1.8 Canopies
In establishments that are not protected by automatic water sprinkling fire-extinguishing
networks, these must be made of M0 or M1 materials. Otherwise canopies must be made of
M0, M1 or M2 materials (1).

2- FIRE PROOFING
A guarantee of the fire reaction classification of the materials used in the exhibition halls must
be supplied on the demand of the Safety Officer in the form of labels, reports or certificates.
The fireproofing of materials can be achieved by calling upon the services of approved
applicators whose particulars can be obtained from:

Important: Only fire reaction reports issued by approved European laboratories are
acceptable.
3- ELECTRICITY
The electrics for each stand should be protected at its source against overcurrents and
earthing faults. All metal masses must be interconnected and connected to the earth of the
stand’s electric connection box. The electrical connections should be arranged inside the
junction box.
3.1 Electrical appliances
Electrical appliances of class O (1) must be protected with rated differential current devices of
30 mA or less. Those of class 1 (1) must be connected to the protective conductor of the wiring
system supplying them.
Those of class II (1) should bear sign:
3.2 Electric cables
Only use cables where each conductor (minimum cross-section of 1.5 sq. mm) has its own
protective sheath, all the conductors being housed in a single protective sheath.
Important: The use of H-03-VHH (“scindex”) cables is prohibited.
3.3 Multiple socket outlets
Only adaptors or multiple housings from a fixed socket-outlet are authorised (moulded multi-
socket blocks).
3.4 Halogen lamps
Stand lighting fittings with halogen lamps must be firmly attached and placed at a height of at
least 2.25 metres and kept away from any flammable materials (a minimum distance of 0.50
metres) and equipped with a safety screen (glass or fine-mesh screen).

3.5 High voltage installation
High voltage lighting appliances must be protected with a plastic screen (minimum of class
M3). The power cut-off switch must be clearly marked and the transformers located in a safe
place from the standpoint of the safety of persons.
4- EMERGENCY MEANS
The emergency means (fire hose cabinets, extinguishers, telephone sets, etc.) should be
permanently visible and access to them clear at all times.
Note: a passage of one metre opposite the fire hose cabinet must be kept free of any
equipment as far as the aisle used by the public. Masking of this appliance is prohibited.
5 – STAND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
It is prohibited to deposit crates, cartons, wood, paper etc. in the exhibition areas, stands
and exit aisles.
