At one pole is computer science, which is primarily concerned with theory, design and implementation of software— the product being a computer program. At the other pole is computer engineering, primarily concerned with firmware (the micro-code that controls processors), hardware (the processors themselves, as well as entire computers), software (system-level and user/application-level) and interfacing systems (both at hardware and software level) that will allow computer systems to communicate with the outside world as well as with each other. Computer Engineers distinguish themselves with their versatile set of skills: they can design and build computers, interface them with the outside world and make them talk to each other, develop firmware and also create system-level and user/application-level software. As a graduate of this course you will be well-equipped to find employment in diverse areas of software systems engineering that are increasing in both complexity and interaction with the physical world. The international fee will only be applicable when the student transfers to Australia in the third year at Deakin University. FEE STRUCTURE PROGRAM FEES PER SEMESTER (1 to 4) B.E. Computer Engineering Rs. 1,70,000/- = Students need to pay Rs.15,000/- towards ERP /Career Advancement Services (CAS) at the time of admission. = Students who will continue in the 3rd Year of the program at Chitkara University will be required to pay a nominal examination fee of Rs.50,000/- for the 3rd & 4th Year respectively and will graduate with B.E degree in Computer Engineering from Chitkara University. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS = Successful completion of Class XII with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics with a minimum 60% aggregate and 65% in English OR = Achievement of a minimum score of 6.0 bands on the IELTS English proficiency test with no band less than 6 OR = TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) – score of at least 570 (or 230 if computer-based score), plus a minimum TWE (essay) score of 4.0, or IBT score of 88 with no section below 20. 4Mandatory personal Interview with our Academic Team.
