ACC APPROVAL FOR HOME IMPROVEMENT
If you are planning any home improvements, keep in mind that all exterior
modification to your property, with the exceptions of basic landscaping,
must be submitted to the architectural control committee. No work may
be started until the ACC committee has approved your request. This
includes painting and roof replacement, even if you’re using the existing
colors. Cimarron requires that all homeowners receive ACC approval in
order to maintain the beauty and design of our neighborhood. The rules
and regulations as established in the deed restrictions help ensure an
attractive appearance throughout our community. You can locate the
Home Improvement Request Form on our community website: www.

PARKED CARS
Please park your vehicles in your garage or at least in your driveway,
if at all possible. Please be considerate of your neighbors and the fire
trucks on your street. If you must park on the street, be considerate of
the neighbor across the street, who must back from a driveway in order
to enter the street. As our area has grown, so has the number of vehicles
in the subdivision. Most seem to have more than one car per family and
some have even more, as the children become driving age. Please try to
be considerate of others who try to navigate between the cars that are
left on the street. Children darting into the street or riding bicycles are
more easily seen with less parked cars blocking the view of them. Thank
you for your cooperation.
ATTENTION!
Please be careful and slow down while driving through the subdivision;
remind your young drivers to do also. Please, be aware of your
surroundings and parents, remind your children to watch for vehicles
when crossing the street.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS! HOA MEETING
Our next Cimarron Homeowner’s Meeting is coming up and everyone
is invited! Meetings are held on the third Monday of every month at
the Cimarron Clubhouse (located next to the pool at 818 Pickford).
Homeowner’s Quorum is from 7-7:30 PM and the Executive meeting
starts at 7:30 PM.

Cimarron | June 2020 7JUNE IS NATIONAL CAMPING MONTH
National Camping Month in June is an excellent time to pack up your gear and experience nature. Whether
you like roughing it or prefer to have a few modern conveniences when heading out to the trail, it’s
important to keep a few things in mind:
1. Make sure you have plenty of fresh water or a fresh water source.
2. Take a first aid kit and that it is stocked.
3. Pack waterproof matches.
4. Take non-perishable food such as granola bars, jerky, peanut butter, chocolate bars and dried fruits,
especially if you are not taking a cooler.
5. Pack fruits, vegetables and meats separately and keep chilled in a cooler.
6. Include sunblock, even for cloudy days.
7. Rain gear, jackets and blankets are necessary for cooler weather.
Around the country, there are a variety of campsites available. The more modern campsite includes showers
and recreational facilities. These often include water hookups and parking pads for RVs and campers and
cabins to rent as well as more primitive sites with no electrical hookups designed for tent usage. Other
parks only allow primitive camping and require everything you pack into the park to be packed out. So,
seriously consider your needs if you are hiking into the park for your stay. These are not for the glampers.
Gather family and friends, don’t forget the s’mores supply and go camping! Nature is calling and there are
so many ways to enjoy a weekend or even more camping. National Camping Month has been observed
since the 1970s. Source: https://nationaldaycalendar.com

stories to life! iWRITE was founded ten years ago by children’s author,

can learn straight from the pros! The iWRITE summer camps and workshops
will be held in June and July in the Cypress, Spring Branch and Ft. Bend

learn character development skills that can be used in all types of writing,
how authors brainstorm and turn ideas into a story, how illustrators bring
characters to life through art, fun editing techniques and even how to get
your work published. Visit iWRITE.org to learn more, meet the instructors
