Junior Golf Instruction
At the Mississippi State University Golf Course, we
are COMMITTED to offering the most fun and
affordable access to the game of golf in the area. In
our opinion, all potential junior golfers deserve the
ability to be exposed to this wonderful game in a
fun and social environment.
We are pleased to offer two programs this spring:
the After School (Operation 36) Program and the
Lil Chippers Program. Both of these programs are
taught by PGA of America Class A Professionals and
will begin later in the Spring when the temperatures
warm up!

After School Program (Operation 36)
Whether your child is just starting the game or is a
tournament player trying to secure a college scholarship, we
have a program that is perfect for them! We want every
child to be exposed to this wonderful game and foster their
interest golf.
In each of our Tuesday After School Programs, we will utilize
the six (6) levels of Operation 36. Operation 36 is a unique
training system that lays out a specific roadmap to motivate each player,
regardless of ability, to achieve goals as their golf ability improves. The challenge
is to score 36 for 9 holes from a specified distance. As the player achieves the
score of 36, he/she moves back to a longer distance from the green until they
reach a tee box! This interactive process allows students to log actions, learn
objectives, track progress, and be a part of a special community of golfers.

(Ages 4-9)
What is the best age to introduce your junior to golf? Tiger Woods and Rickie Fowler were
playing at a very young age so why are you waiting until grade school to bring your child to the
golf course? Now you can watch your child start to enjoy the game at 4 years old! By using
colors, sounds, cool clubs, balls, and targets, these junior golfers will be “playing” golf the first
day! Parents are encouraged to remain in attendance during this clinic. You will be amazed at
how quickly the Lil Chippers will pick up the game and want to come out to the course with
Mom and Dad. Lil Chippers is designed for children ages 4-9 and will utilize SNAG (Starting New
At Golf) equipment. Sessions will be held on Sunday afternoons in April and May.
