In consideration of the purchase of this product you hereby agree to the fullest extent permitted by law as
follows:
To waive any and all claims that you have or may in the future have against AIRUSH, its parent or associated
companies, resulting from use of this product and any of its components. To release AIRUSH from any and
all responsibility and liability for any loss, damage, expense, accidents and/or injury to people, objects and/
or product which may occur as a result of the use of the product, due to any cause whatsoever, including
negligence or breach of contract on the part of AIRUSH in the design or manufacture of this product. Possible
faults or delays in repairs give the purchaser no right of compensation for damages or warranty extension.
Transport costs are at purchasers cost as well as costs resulting from the inspection he/she has applied and
accepted by AIRUSH. AIRUSH expressly disclaims any implied warranties of merchantability of fitness for a
particular purpose and disclaims any and all responsibility and liability for consequential and incidental damage
or any other losses arising from the use of these parts, products and/or components.
Release of Liability, Claim Waiver and Assumption of Risk Agreement
By assembling this product, you are agreeing to;
1. be bound to the terms set forth below; and
2. require anyone using this product to be bound by such terms. If you are unwilling to be bound by these
terms return this product (before use) for a full refund.
Assumption of risk / Important Warning!
Use of this product and any of its components involves certain inherent risks, dangers and hazards, which can
result in serious personal injury or death. In using this product you freely agree to assume and accept any and
all known and unknown risks of injury while using the equipment. The risks inherent in the sport can be greatly
reduced by abiding by the Warning and Safety guidelines listed in this User’s Manual and by using common
sense.
If under the age of 18 years do not kiteboard without the clear consent from a parent or guardian and the
correct supervision. If you are learning for the first time, we strongly recommend lessons from a professional
instructor connected to an authorized training center.
Arbitration
The purchaser agrees that the laws of Thailand shall govern any disputes, controversy or claims involving
AIRUSH. Such disputes, controversy or claims shall be referred to and finally settled by arbitration in
accordance with the Rules of Arbitration of the Thailand International Arbitration Center. The language to be
used in arbitrate proceedings shall be English. Arbitration shall be commenced within one (1) year from the
date on which any alleged claim first arose.
Entire Agreement
In entering into this Agreement, you are not relying upon any oral or written representations other than what is
set forth in this Agreement and Users Manual.

• Kiteboarding can be a dangerous sport and should be taken very seriously.
• It is strongly recommended that you receive expert tuition from a registered instructor prior to use of this
product.
• Power kites, their lines and control system can be dangerous to flyers and to anyone within the vicinity of
their use.
• Do not use your kite near or around power lines, airports, streets, trees, and keep clear of other people
and obstacles.
• Never allow anyone who is not familiar with traction kiting to use this product without experienced
assistance.
• Always learn to use a small-sized, power kite (2m – 3m Trainer foil) before attempting to use this product
for the first time.
• Always use your kite with safety release system and familiarize yourself with the system prior to use.
• Make sure you spend time to become familiar with the operation of your kite and remember that you are
responsible for its safe operation and for the safety of those around you.
• As you learn the sport make sure to work within your limitations and do not exceed them.
• Do not for any reason permanently attach yourself to the kite or its safety system.
• The kite is not intended for use as a flying device nor is it intended as means for a flotation device.
• A good rule of thumb when kiteboarding is, to always try and ride with a buddy.

Beginning Setup
• When setting up your kite and system for the first time we recommend you find some place out of the
wind and preferably a nice area so that you can become familiar with the kites system and make sure
that it is set up correctly.
• Choose an area that has enough room to fully layout your kite lines and control bar without any
obstructions.
• If there is any wind at all make sure to position yourself with your back into the win.

3.5 BRAIN Quick Release Operation //Activation and Re-set
1 / When the Quick Release is properly closed; the collar will sit
flush against the lip at the base of the core.
2 / To release, push the RED sliding collar away from the loop
towards the kite. This will cause the pin to release the sheeting
loop.
3 / To Re-assemble, hold the RED sliding collar up and replace
the U-ring on the end of the sheeting loop over the pin and rotate
the pin vertically making sure that the U-ring is seated properly
in the housing and that the pin can easily rotate flush against the
housing.
4 / Allow the the RED sliding collar to slide back down back over
the pin and sit flush against the lip at the base of the core.
5 / Make sure that the RED sliding collar and pin are seated
properly and that the quick release can function properly before
using.

3.6 Safety Options
1 / Primary safety - Bar Sheeting Depower
By sheeting the bar in and out you can safely adjust the power of
your kite. Use the sheeting strap to fine-tune the power of your
kite by pulling on the RED handle to reduce the power. Pull the
BLUE handle to increase the power.
2 / Secondary Safety - Let go of the bar
Letting go of the bar will allow for maximum depower while still
attached to the kite. If you still have too much power, pull the RED
handle on the sheeting strap or use the emergency safety shown
below. (Note: For maximum depower, the stopper ball must be
against the sheeting strap.)
3 / Emergency Safety - BRAIN quick release
To activate, simply push the RED sliding collar on the quick
release to disconnect from the sheeting loop.
4 / Final Safety - Leash release
In the event that the kite still has power, it will be necessary to
disconnect completely from the kite and leash.
5 / Safe state - Complete disconnect
To disconnect completely, grab the RED sleeved area labeled
“Airush” and push away from where it is connected to your
harness in the direction shown by the arrows on the leash.

4.1 Introduction to Airush Control Bar
• It is recommended that you rinse and clean the safety release mechanism after every kitesurfing session.
It is the responsibility of the rider to ensure that the mechanism is operational through regular verification
and inspection.
• Inspect the components for abnormal wear and contact your distributor if further information or advice
is required. Ensure that the components are not bent out of shape and that there are no signs of worn or
rough edges. Visually inspect the components for cracks or breakages.
• The sheeting system should not show excessive wear. If the rope appears to be damaged and the fibres
have started to wear, replacement parts should be installed.
• Flying lines are not exposed to the same type of wear and are usually only damaged by obstructions
when setting up. Ensure that there are no knots in the flying lines as these reduce the strength significantly.
4.2 Installation, Activation and Resetting of the leash:
Locate an adequately strong D-ring or similar point on the harness to fasten the leash.
1 / Deploy the leash release mechanism by pushing the emergency
handle forward to separate the webbing loop from the rest of the
leash.
2 / Fasten the webbing to the harness point by threading the webbing
end through the D-ring and then threading the rope end through the
webbing loop.
3 / . To reset, slide the leash handle forward to gain access to the
stainless steel release pin.

4.2 Installation, Activation and Resetting of the leash:
4 / Slide the pin into the small loop attached to your leash webbing
found on your harness from steps 1 and 2.
5 / Rotate the release pin so that it may re-enter the tubular section
of the leash handle
6 / Ensure that the release pin is rotated in the correct orientation
and that it is in-line with the other internal components.
If there is abnormal resistance and the pin does not line up easily, try flipping the stainless steel pin
to the opposite side.

4.3 Attaching Leash to Airush Bar Safety Line Flag Out System:
1 / Use the metal clip found on your Airush leash to clip into the
metal ring attached to the red safety line found on your chicken
loop.
2 / Make sure the clip is completely close to secure the leash onto
the ring.
4.4 Activating Airush Locking Tube:
1 / Activate the Locking Tube by first hooking into the chicken loop.
2 / Swivel the Locking Tube and thread the Tube between the
Chicken Loop and Hook. This will result in your chicken loop not
being able to come out when slack is applied on the bar or loop.

5.1 Activating Airush Brain Quick Release:
1 / The safety system is initiated when the rider pushes the
colourful collar (above the chicken-loop) away from their body.
2 / As the collar is pushed, the chicken loop will release from one
side.
3 / The harness hook will then slide away from the locking tube.
4 / As the harness hook is removed, tension will be transferred to
the single line flag out system.

5.2 Resetting Airush Brain Quick Release:
1 / To re-engage the safety system, first retrieve the bar by
pulling the safety line connected to the leash.
2 / . Hold the collar in its open position with one hand,
and thread the open end of the chicken-loop onto the
stainless steel pin.
3 / Push the pin upwards, and allow the collar to close
back down over it.

MAINTENANCE
To ensure that your safety systems are properly functioning, follow these important
instructions.
• Rinse your Bar and Leash in fresh water after every use, especially the release mechanisms.
• Inspect the mechanism regularly by deploying the system and assessing the state of the internal
components.
• Any screws or elastics found on the Bar or Leash system should be monitored before each session.
• If there are signs of excessive wear, acquire a replacement from your nearest Airush distributor.

7.1 Adjustable Bar Length System Maintenance
• Your bar comes shipped with a packet of lubricant. Always apply a generous amount of lubrication to the
adjustable bar after using your bar.
• Using the Smart Bar in salt water will require more frequent lubrication of the bar ends than use in fresh
water. Please maintain accordingly.
• We recommend rinsing your bar ends after repeated uses to maintain easy function of your adjustable
bar system.
Tip: Each time you run out your lines to connect your kite we recommend that you check that your adjustable
bar ends are functioning properly along with your quick release before launching. If you notice that your bar
ends are difficult to remove, be sure to rinse and reapply lubrication to ensure full functionality. Failure to
maintain the adjustable bar ends may lead to corrosion and seizing of the moving parts.
7.2 Line Management
Unwind your lines from your bar and lay them out parallel to each other. Starting at the bar, walk your lines out
making sure to remove all twists.
You will notice that the line ends are colored Red/White/Grey. Red and Grey lines are your steering or BACK
lines and should always be connected to the back, or trailing edge connection points on their corresponding
sides of the kite. White lines with Blue pigtails are the FRONT lines and should always be connected to their
corresponding sides of the leading edge of the kite.
To minimize line stretch , attach your lines evenly to a solid safe object . With your de-power loop all the way
against the bar and sheeting system all the way out (powered up position), grab your bar and pull back with a
good amount of pressure. As you apply and release pressure, all lines should rise and lower evenly and the bar
should be perpendicular to the center lines. If this is not correct you will need to make small adjustments to all
lines to compensate for any difference. It is important to weight each line individually and then do adjustments.
As you pull, each line will begin to lock the fibers into place. This will minimize any adjustments you will need to
do later.
The goal for all the adjustments is to end up with all lines with the de-power loop and sheeting system
positioned all the way out (powered up position). The first few times that you use your bar system, the lines
and knots will settle in and change length slightly. It is important to always check your lines after the first few
sessions, especially if your kite feels as if it is pulling to one side. Now that you have your bar set up and ready,
take your time and wrap your lines back onto the bar. You will learn that taking your time wrapping your lines
will result in fewer twists in your lines when you lay them out the next time. Once you get to the end of the lines
wrap the remainder around the end of the bar, put the elastic bungee over the loose ends to secure them to
the bar end..

8.1 Multiple Line Length System
Along the flying lines, the connection between sections are spliced together and stitched to keep a low profile
and a strong connection.
Pigtail - line connection:
• The same connection is used to connect the pigtail to the flying lines
• By alternating the different length sections, the bar can be set up with line lengths of 24M, 21M, 18M,
15M and 10M configurations.
8.2 Proper Inflation
The AIRUSH V bridle system requires your kite to be properly inflated. Always pump your kite until firm or
around 6 PSI. Higher wind speeds and heavier riders may require higher inflation pressure. Under-inflation can
cause canopy collapse and poor performance. If you find that your kite is folding along the leading edge, it is
likely under-inflated.
Note : The accuracy of the pump gauges can vary over time.
The new Airush valve-pump connection allows a better airflow. With the high inflation pressures required with
the new kites we recommend to always use the female adaptor on the pump to inflate your kite. Using the
male pump adaptor can cause the top section of the valve to stretch and may result in the valve cap to not sit
securely in the valve and it may become loose and leak air. Using the fitting pictured below does not stretch the
valve.

9.1 General Advice
To prolong the life of your kite and equipment you should follow these very important instructions.
• Never store your kite for any extended period of time in bag if at all wet or moist. Doing so can cause
colors to fade and bleed into each other. If the canopy is wet allow the kite to dry completely out of direct
sunlight.
• After use in saltwater, it is always good to wash all gear thoroughly using fresh water and allowed to dry
out of direct sunlight. Never use high-pressure water against the kite canopy.
• Be sure to either cover or store your kite out of the sun light while not in use.
• Do not leave your kite sitting, inflated, main strut down facing into the wind. The wind can cause the
trailing edge to flap loosely. If allowed to flap in this manner, the trailing edge material will begin to break
down and cause unwanted material stretch and deterioration along the trailing edge, which will drastically
decrease the kites’ performance and lifespan.
• Periodically throughout the life of your kite, check all connection points and canopy for damage and make
sure to repair small tears as needed. Small tears can become large tears with one bad crash.

10.1 Stability Pigtails
Airush kites are supplied with a back pigtail that allows you to fine tune the back line tension to increase the
stability and reduce the back stall tendencies of the kites.
The positions on the pigtails are shown below:

By moving the knot down, the back stall tendencies are reduced
(Note: steering may be reduced slightly with these settings)
10.2 Stopper Ball Use
The sliding stopper can be used to rest the bar against it to take some of the bar pressure off of your arms
and to stop the bar from sliding all the way up to the depower strap.
If depower is needed, the stopper can be pushed up the de-power line by forcing the bar against it aggressively.
(Note: Immediate depower by letting go of the bar will be reduced when the sliding stopper is pulled down.)

10.3 Multi-Zone Tuning Options
The Multi-zone Tuning options offer you a variety of ways to fine-tune your control bar to suit your
specific needs for the conditions and size of kite.
• Under the Floats – Back Line Tuning (A1- A2)
• Above the Sheeting Strap – Front Line Tuning (B1-B2)
• Bar End Adjustment – Bar Length (C1-C2-C3-C4)
A1 / Under the float. A2 / Pull down the float to access
tuning knots for the back lines.
B1 / Above the sheeting strap. B2 / Pull down the cover to access
tuning knots for the front lines.
C1 / Bar ends : push the pin in to C2 / Add or remove the extension
remove the bar end. making sure to align the locator pin
with the recess on the extension cover.
C3 / Put the extension back in the C4 / Make sure that the pin is
bar. insert welland that the extension is
seated and locked into place.

Airush Warranty
Airush Warrantees this product to be free of major manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship to the original
purchaser for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase. This excludes any wear components that have been
subjected to normal wear and tear.
The following are not covered by this warranty:
• Damage due to crashing on land or water
• Damage due to self launch or self landing your kite
• Damage due to improper care or storage
All warranty claims must be submitted through the retailer where the product was purchased. The retailer will contact
the distributor in the respective country and provide a decision in a timely manner.
No warranty claims are to be lodged through Airush International.
The warranty is subject to the following conditions:
1. The warranty is valid ONLY when the warranty item has been purchased from an authorized dealer or distributor.
2. The warranty is valid only when the product is used for normal recreational activities.
3. The warranty is valid only when the proper Airush warranty procedure has been followed as defined in the Airush
Warranty Protocol.
4. Airush will make the warranty determination only after inspection and/or analysis of photos of the product clearly
showing the defect.
5. If a product is deemed to be defective by Airush, the warranty covers the repair or replacement of the defective
product only. Airush is not responsible for any cost, losses, or damages incurred as a result of loss of use of the
product.
6. The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect of normal wear and tear including but not
limited to, punctures, rigging with other than Airush components, damage due to excessive sun or wind exposure or
seam failure due to over-inflation, damage caused by improper handling and storage, damages caused by crashing in
waves or shore break and damage caused by anything other than damage caused by anything other than defects in
materials and workmanship.
7. The warranty is void if any unauthorized repair, change or modification, has been made to any part of the equipment.
8. The warranty for any repair or replacement equipment is good from only the date of the original purchase.
9. The original purchase receipt must accompany all warranty claims. The name of the retailer and date of purchase
must be clear and legible.
10. There are no warranties that extend beyond what has been specified here.
Airush Warranty Protocol
For all warranty claims you must provide the following at the request of the retailer where the product was purchased:
1. Completed warranty form that includes a detailed explanation of the damage/fault and a full description of how it
happened.
2. Proof of purchase.
3. Pictures showing the detail of the fault.
4. Pictures showing the serial number of the board or kite.

• Rincez votre barre et votre leash à l’eau douce après chaque utilisation, et plus particulièrement les
systèmes de largage.
• Inspectez les mécanismes régulièrement en déclenchant les systèmes et en contrôlant l’état des
différents composants.
• Toutes les vis et élastiques présents sur la barre et le leash doivent être contrôlés avant chaque session.
• Si vous constatez des signes d’usure excessifs, remplacez les pièces en vous rendant chez votre
revendeur le plus proche.

3.6 Les différentes options de Sécurité
1 / Première Sécurité - Utiliser le Strap de Depower.
En bougeant votre barre, vous pouvez ajuster en toute
sécurité la puissance de votre aile. En utilisant le strap de
tirer sur la poignée rouge pour réduire la puissance. Tirer
sur la poignée bleue pour augmenter la puissance.
2 / Deuxième Sécurité - Lacher la Barre
Lacher la barre réduira au maximum la puissance tout en
restant attaché a la voile. Si vous avez toujours trop de
puissance, tirer la poignée rouge du strap de depower ou
utiliser le largueur comme expliqué ci dessous (Note : Pour
un maximum de depower, la stopper ball doit être située en
haut contre le strap de depower)
3 /Sécurité en Cas d’Urgence - le Largueur BRAIN
Pour activer le largueur, pousser le collier rouge pour vous
déconnecter de la barre.
4 /SécuritéFinale - le Largueur de Leash
Si l’aile crée toujours trop de puissance, il sera alors
nécessaire de vous déconnecter complètement de l’aile a
l’aide du largueur de leash.
5 / En Sécurite - Tout est Déconnecté
Pour vous déconnecter complètement de l’aile, attraper la
poignée rouge du leash et poussez la loin de vous.

3.5 Le largueur BRAIN et ses composants
1/ Lorsque le largueur BRAIN est fermé, le collier rouge
de larguage est poussé au maximum vers le bas. Le
mécanisme est actif.
Ceci ouvrira le crochet largueur et delivrera le boot de
harnais.
3/ Pour ré-assembler le mécanisme, introduisez l’anneau
du boot de harnais dans le crochet largueur, remonter le
crochet à l’interieur du mécanisme, soyez sûr que l’anneau
est bien positionné verticalement entre les deux pièces
plastiques noires et que le crochet est parfaitement rentré
dans l’encoche.
4/ Descendez le collier rouge au dessus du crochet et de la
pièce noire.
5/ Soyez sûr que les le collier rouge et le crochet sont
rentrés positionnés correctement. Le collier rouge de
larguage est tiré au maximum.

La pratique du kitesurf peut être dangereuse et doit être faite avec sérieux.
Il est grandement recommandé de recevoir les conseils d’un instructeur avant la première utilisation du produit.
L’aile, les lignes et le systeme de contrôle peuvent être dangereux pour l’utilisateur et son entourage.
Ne jamais utiliser une aile de kite proche de lignes à haute tension, aéroports, rues, arbres et choisissez un
emplacement libre de tout obstacle.
Ne jamais autoriser quelqu’un de non familier avec la traction d’une aile à utiliser ce produit sans une
assistance expérimentée. Toujours apprendre avec une aile de très petite taille, conçue pour l’apprentissage
(Trainer kite 2m - 3m) avant toute première utilisation de ce produit. Toujours utiliser votre aile avec un système
de sécurité et soyez sûr de comprendre l’ensemble du système de sécurité avant toute utilisation.
Soyez sûr de prendre assez de temps pour comprendre l’ensemble des étapes pour faire voler votre aile et
rappelez-vous que vous êtes responsable de vos actions. Faites attention à vous et à ceux qui vous entourent.
Apprenez à connaitre vos limites et à ne pas les dépasser, ne sautez pas d’étapes dans l’apprentissage de ce
sport.
Ne vous attachez jamais a l’aile sans systeme de largage.
