We supply lighting management that provides a perfect combina-
tion of control system, sensors, control units and lamps. A com-
plete Tridonic lighting solution system from a one-stop supplier,
from the light source right through to the lighting management
system.
Controlling light intelligently
The digital SMART interface is a compact in-built solution for
smart luminaires. It provides maximum convenience and out-
standing energy efficiency without the need for any additional
control unit. The basic light setting for the individually cont-
rolled luminaires is made directly on the sensor.

An intelligent system solution like basicDIM features lighting
control that takes into account the presence of users and am-
bient light. Besides being suitable for master/slave luminaires,
this efficient system wins out in particular thanks to software-

Convenient light
Simple, uncomplicated and flexible; these are the attributes
needed to ensure maximum convenience on every floor of a
building, and they are also the characteristics exemplified by
comfortDIM. This DALI-based lighting management system
concentrates on straightforward design, easy installation and
120 luminaires flexible configuring.

SMART sensors
Intelligent energy savings
Thanks to the easy-to-install digital SMART interface it is possible to connect day-
light, presence or remote control sensors easily and directly to the ballast. This
way, every luminaire can be controlled individually, and each luminaire responds
independently. This guarantees maximum convenience and savings as well as op-
timum efficiency.
SMART sensors
Elements of a cost-effective constant lighting solution
You can produce simple, cost-effective and energy-efficient luminaire sys-
tems on the basis of digital dimmable PCA EXCEL one4all and PCA ECO
ballasts. Our SMART sensors can directly be connected to Tridonic bal-
lasts via the SMART interface. The integrated regulation circuit registers
the available ambient light or the presence of a person in the room.

Simple and efficient lighting control
The SMART daylight sensor 5D* 19f can be connected directly to the bal-
last via the SMART interface. The sensor can be used with PCA EXCEL,
ECO and BASIC ballasts.

Added value
This SMART sensor 5DP* 19f detects presence and the amount of day-
light. In combination with a PCA EXCEL one4all ballast you can exploit the
full potential of energy savings.

Convenient and intelligent
This sensor enables up to two ballasts to be connected, making three
modes preprogrammed for the corridorFUNCTION. The SMART sensor
10 DPI *19f can be used in rooms with ceiling heights up to 10 m.

Switch sensors
Added value for luminaires
Switch sensors that automatically switch lighting depending on the presence of
users and ambient light offer greater effi-ciency and more convenience. These
sensors really come into their own when used in combination with the Tridonic
corridorFUNCTION. This function makes it possible to switch up to 20 control units
using just one sensor.
smartSWITCH
smartSWITCH is a presence detector that is installed in luminaires. You
can use it to switch luminaires on or off automatically. Used together with
the corridorFUNCTION, you can exploit potential energy savings even
more efficiently. This sensor uses PIR technology to detect the presence
of users through changes in heat sources.
SWITCH sensor HF 5BP
SWITCH sensor HF 5BP is a presence detector that is suitable for installa-
tion in luminaires. It uses radio-frequency technology to detect movement
through frequency differences.
This means that the sensor can detect movement through glass and thin
materials (excluding metal). This sensor also offers potential energy sa-
vings when used with the corridorFUNCTION. It has a continuously adjus-
table range of 0.5 to 5 m.
cF SMART plug
The cF SMART plug makes it easy to configure the corridorFUNCTION.
The cF SMART plug enables a retention time at a dimming level of ten
percent and subsequent switching-off of the luminaires. If the retention
time is, however, to be extended to 30 minutes, the cF30 SMART plug is
used. The „Never off“ profile is set on the ballast by default when a SMART
plug is not used.f At a glance

Clever combination of daylight and artificial light to suit you
The three most important criteria that modern lighting management systems have
to meet are visual comfort, suitability to the tasks being performed and energy
efficiency – compactDIM supports all these. With just a small addition you can turn
your luminaire into an intelligent system. Compact and with low stand-by losses, it
will then save you energy.
basicDIM ILD
Thanks to its small, compact in-built design, the basicDIM control unit is
easy to install inside the luminaire. It is suitable for up to 10 DSI or DALI
control units, and has two DALI/DSI output channels with an adjustable
offset between channel 2 and channel 1.
It also saves energy: this is achieved by detecting ambient light and the
presence of users. The remote control option makes this control unit even
more convenient. The maximum mounting height is five metres. Parame-
ters can also be individually adjusted by using a basicDIM ILD program-
mer.
DSI SMART PTM
These sensors for measuring light and detecting presence are available
in two versions: recessed ceiling version controls up to 25 DSI devices,
surface-mounted ceiling version for four DSI devices.
Sensors for measuring light and detecting presence, can be combined
with the SMART Controller infra-red remote control. This means that au-
tomatic lighting control can be activated and deactivated at the press of
a button. Users‘ entirely personal visual comfort preferences can also be
set by using the remote control.
basicDIM DGC
basicDIM DGC is a digital control module with up to four presence and
ambient light sensors, a presence detector, two momentary-action switch
inputs and a remote control. It can be used to control up to 20 DSI or DALI
control units.
The control modules measure ambient light and detect the presence
of users in a room. They are suitable for installation in the luminaire and
for integration into a DALI-based building lighting management system.
BasicDIM DGC has a neighbourhood function. It is advisable to use it
with a SMART controller infrared remote control for lighting solutions that
extend over several rooms. Thanks to a relay, there are no control gear
stand-by losses.f At a glance

Our comfortDIM lighting management system is based on the twin principles of
comfort and independence. Your projects benefit from simplicity and maximum
flexibility from start to finish.

Touch panels
Setting up and operating DALI systems – Tridonic touch panels enable
you to accomplish this conveniently via a graphical user interface. DALI
TOUCHPANEL 02 has a keypad with user-selectable key functions for
manually controlling lighting groups and lighting scenes. It is programmed
by using Master configurator software, which is available free of charge.
With the DALI x/e-touchPANEL 02 you can program lighting scenes and
RGB colour mixes and call them up them via the graphical user interface
as well. The panel also includes a sequencer which is used to automate
calendar-controlled se-quences.
DALI XC
comfortDIM momentary-action switch module
Conventional momentary-action switches can be connected quickly and
easily to the comfortDIM XC module. This gives you the opportunity to
custom design your lighting. These momentary-action switch modules are
used to group luminaires together, define scenes and program macros.
Tunable White also allows colour temperature variations.
DALI MSensor 02 and DALI RC
comfortDIM sensor with remote control
DALI MSensor 02 and DALI RC both have combined light sensors (ambi-
ent light) and presence detectors (available as surface-mounted and re-
cessed version). Remote control can be used to control groups, call up
scenes and set light levels.f At a glance

Interfaces and actuators connect our lighting management
systems with your world
With the unique comfortDIM system you can produce lighting solutions that offer
impressive flexibility, ease of use and individuality. Our solutions can provide maxi-
mum protection for your investment and future-proof design.
DALI PS 1/PS 2
These allow a central supply unit which is optionally available for installati-
on in switch cabinets (PS 2) or surface-mounted housings (PS 1).
DALI USB
USB interface for connecting personal computers to DALI systems. To-
gether with free software tools from Tridonic this enables components to
be easily addressed and configured.
DALI 3-RM-C
Control of up to three standard contactors via 24 V outputs so that diffe-
rent electronic loads can be switched by DALI commands.DALI PCD 300 one4all
Leading-edge or trailing-edge phase dimmer for integrating devices such
as electronic or magnetic transformers for low-voltage halogen lamps in
the comfortDIM system.
DALI PCD/S
Digital leading-edge or trailing-edge phase dimmer for installation in swit-
ching cabinets, enables any light value to be stored and retrieved.
