A consulting company is only as good as its staff. This last year has made heavy
demands on our staff, who have made magnificent efforts in response. It is their
ability and work that have established Logica's position in the international computer
consulting and systems industry.
Highlights of the Year European Space Programme
Both independently and as a member of international consortia. Logica was awarded
a number of important contracts by the European Space Agency, The work
included system and data communications studies. software development and the
design and supply of special purpose equipment.
Software for the METEOSAT (Meteorological Satellite) system. being supplied by a
consortium including Logica and SESA. is valued at well in excess of £2 million one
of the largest single software contracts ever awarded in Europe.
Banking
As in the previous year. projects for banks and other nancial institutions formed
Logica s principal private sector market. Work continued on a number of major
systems for leading European banks. The prejects included network development
for Barclays Bank in the UK. and for Algemene Bank Nederland in the Netherlands.
An important longeterm project for the Bank of England was successfully concluded
when the onrline system of the Accountant s Department entered operation in
Mai ch 1975.
British Steel Corporation Network
Under a $300000 contract Logica is assisting British Steel Corporation in the project
management of a telecommunications network to link major sites in the UK The
project is the UK s most extensive and advanced private datacommunications
system.
Performance Analysis
Logica completed its 50th performance analysis contract, Many of the studies have
detected and remedied substantial inefficiencies in computer system usage, At the
end of the year the company was extending the hardware and staff resources
devoted to this service.

De totale professionele ornzet was in de boekhouding verwerkt voor 15% van het groepsiotaal en er zijn verkopen van £411,000 bereikt. Gedurende het afgelopen jaar werd een kantoor geopend in Beiroet om de groeiende werkzaamheden in het Arabische deel van het Nabije Oosten te behandelen. Tegen he: emd van het jaar werd een nieuw opera oneel kantoor in Australie opgericht.
Gemeenschnppeujke Projekten
Bijna alle zaken die niet in het Verenigd Koninkrijk of de Benelux werden gedaan,
waren gezamenlijke projekten. Dit was her vierde jaar dat wij samenwerkten met
onze Pranse partner SESA. Er warden goede successen geboekt. zoals het verkrijgen
van een enorm concurerend contract voor delevering van het European Informatics
Network (EIN). Dit is een uitdagend en technisch vergevorderd projekt. Het is ook
een unicum in Europese samenwerking. daar bet ge nancierd werd door negen
regeringen.
Samenwerking met bedrijven van de Planning Research groep duurde voort. met
projekten in Finland, ltali é, Belgié. Iran en Nieuw Zeeland. Grote gemeenschappelijke
projekten met andere partners zijn op komst in Hong Kong en Australié.
Personeel
Een adviserend bedrijf is alleen goed met dienovereenkomstig personeel. Dit
afgelopen jaar heeft zware eisen gesteld aan ons personeel, dal enorme moeite

De projekten omvatten onder meer netwerk ontwikkeling voor de Barclays Bank
