Communication with Coaches
• Email- each coach has a Machine email. All
  email addresses are posted on the Machine
  website under COACHES.
• AFTER practice. Please DO NOT come
  down on deck to “quickly” talk to a coach
  during practice.
• Schedule a meeting with the coach.
• Please let the coach be the coach!!! Each
  role is vital to the coach/ parent/ swimmer
  relationship.
Make Up Practices
• Please attend the workouts that you registered for.
• Be respectful of your Machine Family.
• Email YOUR COACH AND OUR OFFICES to request a
  change in practice schedule.
• If we cancel a workout due to pool conflicts we will do
  our best to offer a make up session at another practice
  location.

If we cancel due to weather, we will try our best to have a
                     make up practice
Make Up Practices
Please remember if we are offering the
  workout that you have registered for
  and you choose not to attend, that is
             your choice.

We will do our best to allow occasional
 make-ups due to illness but we do not
         give “credit workouts”
Parking during practice
• Tysons Sport & Health
  • Paid parking for 15 minutes or more.
    Garage parking available for $1.00 (with
    validation from front desk)
  • Above ground parking at Tyson is owned by
    a private company and is not eligible for
    validation. Parking lot has no affiliation
    with the health club.

  The Madeira School, Fairland Aquatic &
  Tuckahoe
  • FREE!!!!
  • Safety
    • Please be aware of your surroundings during
      early morning and evening practices.
    • Park in lighted areas, no belongings on seats,
      etc..
Parking during practice
• The University of Maryland
⬥ Monday- Friday
  ⬥ Parking passes will be provided for swimmers
    attending workouts PRIOR to 4:00pm for the
    GARAGE. Garage parking is FREE after 4:00pm
  ⬥ Parking outside of the Athlete entrance- lower level
    is NOT PERMITTED.
  ⬥ Meter parking on the weekends is NO longer free.
    The meters are in effect 7 days a week from
    7:00am- midnight.
Required Equipment for Practice
• Coaches required equipment list for
  practice available here today & on the
  website.
• Recommend High Performance Groups &
  Senior level swimmers in the water for
  1.5+ hours bring a light snack.
• WATER BOTTLE!!!!!!
Required Equipment for Practice
• A Machine cap should be worn during
  practice.
• Label ALL EQUIPMENT!! It all looks the
  same.
• Clothing & sneakers for dryland and
  extra towel or yoga on days requested
  by coaches.
Required Equipment for Meets
• Current Team Suit- Solid Black with Logo. EVEN
  SENIOR SWIMMERS!
• Black Machine Competition Cap.
• 2-3 pairs of goggles.
• Team Shirt
• Snack and water bottle.
• Warm Clothing- extra socks, pants, etc. in the
  winter.
• 2 towels
Meet Entry Procedures
             Team Unify System
• Once a meet sheet is released it is posted on the
  Machine website under the MEETS heading.
• Be sure to PRINT out the meet announcement and
  READ CAREFULLY!!
• An email link to register for the meet will be sent out.
  All fees for meets are paid by Machine for meet entry
  files.
• Please talk/email with you child’s coach regarding
  event selection.
• Swimmers will also receive event entry cards for
  meets when needed.
Meet Entry Procedures
            Team Unify System
• 1 week prior to the HOST entry deadline, Machine’s
  entries will close.
• Coaches will review all entries and make any
  adjustments needed.
• Entries are submitted by Machine to the meet host.
• If you miss the entry deadline, you MAY be able to
  deck enter into the meet.
• A deck entry fee is paid for by the parent, usually
  $10.00 per event. Deck entry fees are not covered
  by Machine.
Meet Entry Procedures
            Team Unify System
• A meet entry report will be posted on the Machine
  website once entries are finalized and turned in.
• Any necessary changes/ announcements are
  posted on the Machine website and emailed to
  parents once they are made available. CHANGES
  TO MEETS ARE NOT DONE BY MACHINE. THEY
  ARE DONE BY THE MEET HOST.
• Questions regarding meet entries need to be
  submitted to:

Suits for Meets
• The current team suit (Black with Machine Logo)
  is REQUIRED for all Machine Meets.

• Championship type suits (FSII, FSPro,LZR, etc.) may be worn ONLY
  at Championship Meets (TDI, Senior/ Junior Champs, JO’s, etc.)
• Machine is offering the AquaBlade with a Machine logo on it that
  may be worn for monthly meets.

                NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE GRANTED!!
PLEASE REMEMBER WE ARE A SPEEDO TEAM AND ALL SWIMMERS SHOULD WEAR
                            SPEEDO SUITS.

  schedule is listed on the Machine
  website.
  • Information includes: meets, meet entry
    dates, practice cancellations, team
    activities.
  • Event information is detailed by double
    clicking on the event.
Volunteer Requirements as a Machine
                   Family

• $75.00     Volunteer Fee- refund check issued
    upon completion.
•   22 hours per family per season.
•   !! AFTER YOU WORK THE EVENT!! Please
    email volunteer@machineaquatics.com and
    list the meet, hours worked and dates.
•   Remember to include family name and
    swimmer name.
•   Refund checks will be issued quarterly.

USS Application of
               Non- Athlete
➢ Application to become an official available on
  the PVS website and Machine website.
➢ Complete the USA Swimming Background
  screening for all Non- Athlete volunteers.
➢ 1 Hour online Athlete Protection Training
  (APT)
➢ Registration fee- COVERED BY MACHINE!!!!
