Summer is here! Bring on the flip-flops and sunscreen! We begin our 3rd Quarter with
Indepdenence Day on Wednesday, July 4th. Our shop will be closed but come out and
see the Corrales 4th of July Parade!

Did you know there is a “National Threading the Needle Day”? Well there is! And it’s on
July 25th! What will you be working on?

The staff at Quilts Olé are hard at work getting ready for our annual Christmas in July
event! Stay tuned for the date!

Before you know it, the New Mexico State Fair – Expo New Mexico will be here! The fair
runs from September 6th – 16th. Make sure you support our quilter’s who enter their
quilts!

And just to give you another day to celebrate…there is a “National Sew a Jelly Roll Day”
on September 15th! Stay tunned for more info on what we have planned!

More happenings in Corrales! The annual Harvest Festival is September 29th and 30th!

festival. The ladies at Quilts Olé will have their quilts for sale! Come see them hanging
along the porch and support our local quilt artists! Quilts Olé will be open regular
hours on Saturday the 29th and will be OPEN on Sunday the 30th from 12-4pm!

We have some great Demo’s planned on Saturday’s at 10am! Get more information from

Row by Row 2018
           2018:               This annual summer program kicked off June 21st and goes
through September 5th! This years theme is ‘Sew Musical!’. Come in to see our themed
row and our 2018 license plate! You’re gonna love them! Continue to collect or start
collecting for the first time this year! Everyone has a lot of fun! It’s a Nationwide Shop
Hop! Check out who is participating around the nation (Canada and Europe too) by

Shop Stroll 2018: August 17        th
                                        and 18th. This year’s theme is Autumn. Visit the 5
participating shops to collect all 5 blocks, pick your favorite quilt setting from one or
all of the shops and get stitching! The first day of Fall is September 23rd! Be ready to
welcome this colorful season! (The shops participating are: Quilts Olé, Quilt Works, SW
Decoratives, Busy Bee and Hip Stitch.)

Featherweight Friday:
              Friday:              Every 4th Friday of the
month, we will sponsor a free Sew-in for Featherweight
Enthusiasts! Bring your Singer Featherweight and any
project, especially those UFO’s and join other
Featherweight Fans!

Garden Themed Block Buster:                    (Updated for 2018!) Join for only $3.00!
Start any time! When you sign up, you will get a Fat Eighth of fabric and instructions to
create a 12-1/2” block. Complete your block with our Fat Eighth fabric and some from
your stash or ours! Bring your finished block in by the second Saturday to be hung
throughout the shop. Join us on the third Saturday at 10:00 am to receive your next
block free. Enter for a chance to win a $25 Quilts Olé Gift Certificate when you return
your block to hang in the shop AND attend the demo! Come see all the fun we are
having!

Let Sue hold your hand while you learn to use a rotary
cutter and ruler. She’ll lead you through piecing several
different blocks. You’ll use those blocks to make
placemats. Then on to making a ‘quilt sandwich’ and some easy quilting. She’ll also
show you two different ways of finishing a project including binding.

Instructor: Sue Harris
This class is a great technique class for anyone who has 12-1/2”
blocks laying around and are not sure on what to do with them. This
class takes those extra blocks and puts them in a quilt with lattice
setting, corner stones and borders.

Quilts Olé Class Information
Payment in full is required to reserve a seat in the class. Although we HATE to cancel classes, sometimes it is inevitable.
Quilts Olé reserves the right to cancel a class and will attempt to reschedule. If a class cannot be rescheduled, a refund
will be given.
If student cancels a scheduled class, one week before the class, we will issue a store credit for the class fee. If there is a
future class the student wishes to reserve, then we will reserve that class.
Students receive a 15% discount for purchases of materials for the class and a 15% discount for any purchase on the
day of class.
Please come to class fully prepared and ready to sew! Supply lists are provided at time of registration.
