This is why you won't be working nine-to-five in an office any more
By 2050 robots will be a common feature of the workplace and the nine-
to-five day will be a thing of the past for human employees, businesses
                     say.
Firms in Plymouth and across the South West envisage a working
environment very different to today, with artificial intelligence (AI) and
the Internet of Things commonplace, and people needing to be more
flexible about there working day, and even where they work from.
Robots, they say, will do away with some jobs – but create others.
And workers may need to be better educated and more flexible in the
tasks they do – and who, or what, they do them with. Read more

New clothing factory could bring 100 jobs to Plymouth
Plymouth could have a clothing factory in Union Street employing
more than 100 people – in the building that once housed the famous
Jaeger plant. Plymouth College of Art is exploring the idea of creating
a "sampling unit" which would produce small quantities of clothing –
samples – and enable their designers to then approach larger
