MANDATORY TECHNOLOGY PLATFORMS
GOOGLE CHROME AND HTCSD EMAIL ACCOUNT
All students have a chrome book and therefore a HTCSD google account.
Students have access to the google suite.
• EMAIL WILL BE USED FOR ALL MAJOR COMMUNICATION AND
ANNOUNCEMENTS.

• IT Department will be setting up first time users (firstname.lastname) with username and
passwords.

EDSBY
Edsby is HTCSD digital learning and data system. . It is a great communication tool
and tracking system for attendance and assessment. Teachers, students and
parents all have accounts. However, student and parent accounts will not be
accessible until further notice.

MOODLE
Moodle is a learning platform/course management system. Students all have a HTCSD account and
teachers as of this fall will have some resources on Moodle for students to use. It is a great system
for hybrid and remote learning in addition to being a great resource for face to face learning.

GOOGLE CLASSROOM
Google classroom is a great resource for teachers to provide educational learning
materials to students both in class and remotely. It helps manage and assess progress,
while enhancing connections with learners from school, from home or on the go.

• Go to apps and/or go to google classroom and log in with your HTCSD credentials.
GOOGLE HANGOUTS /MEETS
If needed teachers have google hangouts/meets available to connect with students,
community members and parents. Teachers will either provide a code or a link for
individuals to join the chat. Please refer to HTCSD procedures and protocols to
ensure privacy and proper etiquette is being followed.

AIRTAME AND CHROMEBOOKS
There are a few smart tv throughout the school. Therefore, your chrome books will be able to
connect to the TVs through airtame so that you can have documents on your device be used for
presentations, group work, etc.
How:
- Our IT/Ed department will provide videos soon.
- Download locate airtame app
- Search for network name or IP address
- Enter Code
- Start sharing
GOOGLE DRIVE
School cloud storage that provides students an opportunity to back up files, utilize google
programs, share files, connect with peers and staff. It is a great file management tool as well.
