                                                The National Park Service would like to gather information on all the Anza
                                                expedition members. We hope the following article will inspire you to con-
                                                tribute an article on your expedition ancestor.
                                                Edward Grijalva, a descendent of Juan Pablo Grijalva, sergeant of the
                                                1775-76 expedition, promotes awareness of the early presence of Juan
                                                Pablo and other Spanish colonizers in the history of Orange County, Cali-
                                                fornia, by appearing at community events, lectures, and conferences, set-
                                                ting up displays, and educating at every opportunity.
                                                Due to Eddie’s work, in 1996, the Orange County Board of Supervisors
                                                and Orange County Historical Commission placed a plaque identifying the
                                                ruins of the original adobe house built by Don Juan Pablo as County
                                                Historical Site No. 45. In addition, one of three new schools to be built in
