Some years ago, I attended my first
structured tasting, and in true
Burgundian style we tasted the reds
first and followed with the whites. I
haven’t forgotten it. I remember where
I was the first time I encountered Port
and wondered, “Where have you been
all my life?” I also recall the very first
time I tasted Krug and suddenly
understood what Champagne was all
about. These liquid revelations
continued until I became one of the
fortunate ones who are able to turn a
hobby into a career. Since that time,
some of my very favourite duties have
been sharing my beverage alcohol
experiences with whoever wishes
to listen, and assisting customers
with their purchases. It truly is a
wonderful life!”

I really became interested in wine after
I’d been at the LCBO a few years. My
background is Italian and I shared my
dad’s and grandmother’s love for food
and wine, and had often wondered
about the winemaking process, the
differences in styles and food pairings.
Wine became a passion – always
taking me back to those big Sunday
family dinners – and I wanted to share
that passion with customers. I love
being able to find that perfect wine for
a customer’s occasion, or recommend
that perfect gift. I love a variety of
different wine regions and their styles,
especially Italy, Spain, the Rhône and
even Bordeaux for a nice treat. They all
offer great value and great quality!”
