On behalf of the organising committee, we welcome you to join the
Academy of Marketing Science (AMS) World Marketing Congress 2020
Brisbane, Australia. This international congress is annually held in major
cities in the world. Last congress (2019) was held in Edinburgh, UK. The
2020 Congress will be hosted by the UQ Business School at the
University of Queensland (UQ), Australia
In addition to those from the Australasian region, a large number of
marketing scholars from all over the world will attend the Congress. The
Congress, therefore, provides a wide array of opportunities for sponsors
to directly engage with the large number of delegates who will be
attending the congress.
ABOUT AMS WMC
The World Marketing Congress (WMC) is an international congress annually
sponsored by the Academy of Marketing Science Foundation, USA, which is
an international, scholarly, professional organisation. Its mission is to
promote high standards and excellence in the creation and dissemination of
marketing knowledge and the furtherance of marketing practice through a
role of leadership within the discipline of marketing around the world. The
Academy is committed to the highest of ethical standards in the pursuit of this
mission.
As in previous years, the AMS WMC 2020 provides a network for educators
and practitioners interested in marketing theory and research. Specifically, it
enables the Fellows of the Academy to:
(a) present research result
(b) learn by listening to other presentations and through interaction with other
Fellows and Congress participants

(c) avail themselves of placement services
(d) conduct discussions with book publishers, editors and higher education
service providers, and
(e) exchange other relevant information.
The host, The University of Queensland Business School, is independently
ranked as one of the top business schools in Australia and among the
leading institutions worldwide. It aims to create an environment where the
disciplines of research give students the skills to find the knowledge they
need, where good ideas are tested and polished to become great ideas,
where rigorous analysis is celebrated and collaboration is valued. Based at
the UQ St Lucia campus, it brings together over 200 subject experts with over
12,000 students and offers a wide range of degree programs and Executive
Education.
CONGRESS THEME
‘DISCOVERY WITH SOCIAL IMPACT’
As Drucker said, the only two value-added functions in business are
marketing and innovation. Today marketers are challenged to add value in an
environment characterized as filled with problems arising from climate
change, global natural resource management, fractionized political and
economic viewpoints, and changes in the social landscape, both within and
across national borders. These “sands” continue to shift from the past into
our current world and marketing innovations more and more are leveraged by
the rising influence of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, mechanamorphics,
a proliferation of data, changing economic power concentration, and a myriad
of other factors. Notably, Queensland, the host state of the 2020 Academy of
Marketing Science World Marketing Congress and home to the Great Barrier
Reef and oldest and most bio-diverse rainforest in the world, is no stranger to
environmental threats.
In the complex context of today’s world, as in the past, marketers continue to
seek to discover new ways of creating value-adding exchanges. Tools such

as marketing analytics point toward innovative ways to replace or assist
marketing decision-making. However, marketing efforts should continue to be
guided by such values as equity, transparency, authenticity, and empathy. At
a collective and organisational level, marketers should strive to continue to
offer value in a socially responsible way to society and the consumers within.
Accordingly, the AMS WMC 2020 provides a platform and collegial
atmosphere for marketing scholars as they continue to consider their work
through the lens of ‘responsible’ or ‘enlightened marketing’, which takes into
consideration the disciplines potential societal and environmental effects and
contributions in theory and practice. This will include the presentation of
possible new theory discoveries and findings that could lead to more efficient
and impactful responses by marketers to the current multi-faceted global
challenge array. Gatherings such as this help to assure that the future of
marketing and the communities it so closely impacts will be bright and
continue as a true value-added function to business.

Diamond Package - AUD$15,000 (ex GST)
Benefits included with the Diamond-level sponsorship:
• Sole rights to one session (no longer than 90 minutes) where the sponsor
/ vendor can present an instructional program detailing how faculty will
benefit from their product (software/publication/resources/etc.). The
timing of this session, in the Congress schedule will be determined by
Congress the organisers. The session will take place during the normal
run of sessions. Attendance (number of attendees) cannot be
guaranteed.
Standard session AV equipment will be provided by Congress venue
(standard AV includes a microphone, projector, screen and computer).
Any additional AV or networking resources are the responsibility of the
vendor.
No two Diamond vendors will present at the same time.
Congress programs typically run from Wednesday at 8:30 until Friday at
5:00 PM. Sessions are possible within this timeframe.
• The vendor sessions will be publicised in pre-congress program
announcements and in the official printed and online Congress programs.
• Four complimentary registrations to the Congress, including the welcome
reception, recognition lunch and gala dinner.
• Public acknowledgement of sponsorship at the Congress.
• Prominent presence on the Congress website, including your logo linked
to your organisation’s website.
• One pre-Congress email to pre-registered delegates via the AMS office.
• Your organisations logo will be publicised in pre-Congress program
announcements and in the official printed and online Congress programs.
• Up to two exhibit tables during the Congress program.
• Sponsorship for one catering break (acknowledgement will be made in
Congress program and provision for promotional material to be given out
/ displayed).
• Half page advertisement in the AMS Congress (sponsor to provide copy).
• Two pieces of promotional material / give-a-ways to be included in the
delegate welcome packs.

Gold Package - AUD$10,000 (ex GST)
Benefits included with the Gold-level sponsorship:
• Sole naming rights to one of the major Congress Social Functions - Gala
Dinner, Recognition Luncheon, Welcome Reception, Networking
evening). Please note there are only four packages available at this level.
• Sole naming rights to one of Congress research tracks (e.g. consumer
behaviour track or business to business marketing track). This will apply
to every session that is held within the sponsored track (see Appendix 1
for list of tracks).
• Your organisation name will precede the event name in all program
material (i.e in pre-Congress program announcements and in the official
printed and online Congress programs).
• The opportunity to prominently place up to 2 banners in the room during
the sponsored social event.
• Three complimentary registrations to the Congress, including the
welcome reception, recognition lunch and gala dinner.
• Public acknowledgement of sponsorship at the Congress, and your

Silver Package - AUD$7,000 (ex GST)
Benefits included with the Silver level sponsorship:
• Sole naming rights to one of the Congress catering breaks (Morning tea,
lunch, afternoon tea). Note: there are only five packages available at this
level.
• Banner placed in a prominent position during the catering break.
• Sole naming rights to one of Congress research tracks (e.g. Consumer
Behaviour Track or Business to Business Marketing Track). This will
apply to every session that is held within the sponsored track (see
Appendix 1 for list of tracks).

Terms and Conditions of Sponsorship
CONFIRMATION
To confirm, please complete Sponsorship/Exhibition Booking Form and return to
amswmc@anagramevents.com.au
PAYMENT
We will issue invoices once your sponsorship has been confirmed. Unless other
arrangements have been made, payment must be received within 28 days of
receiving the invoice, or within 7 days for invoices issued after 14 June 2020.
Sponsorship benefits will not commence until payment has been received.
• All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars and are exclusive of GST. 10%
GST will be added.
• Credit card payments will incur a surcharge of 1.75% for Australian
issued cards, and 2.7% for international cards.
• Sponsors will be invoiced in Australian dollars
• Any bank and international transfer fees are to be paid for by the sponsor
OTHER
• Sponsors are responsible for supplying and shipment (before and after
event) of pull-up banners and promotional materials
• No sponsor or exhibitor shall assign, sublet or apportion the whole or any
part of their booking, except upon prior written consent from the
Conference Committee.
• The conference organisers may, at their discretion, alter or upgrade
some components of a sponsorship package
• In sponsorship categories where limited opportunities available,
sponsorships will be allocated in the order in which the applications are
received. If payment of the tax invoice is not made by the due date, and
other arrangements have not been made, the organisers reserve the right
to offer the sponsorship package to the next organisation on the wait list.
