“ Virtual Retreat: Theology of the Body & Women of the Bible ”
Women's Retreat Led by: Sr. Helena Burns, FSP
                                              May 23, 10:30 am - 6:00 pm

In addition to learning some fundamentals of John Paul II's life-changing "Theology of the Body," we will
focus on how it relates to women in particular.
~How are women made in the image of God? How do women reflect God's love?
~What are women's specific gifts ("the feminine genius")? What's great about being a woman?
~How can we fully embrace and rejoice in our womanhood? What are women's specific struggles and
crosses?
~Does the Bible/Catholic Church oppress women?
~What does feminism get wrong/get right?
~How can women of the Bible (and female saints) be role models for us?
~We will tackle the meaning of some "difficult" Bible passages, e.g.: What does "wives be submissive to your
husbands" really mean?
