The 2018 Kia Soul is all about the experience. This year’s model offers available and standard
infotainment features that make every ride feel like a party.
A Full Entertainment Experience
The Harman/Kardon® Audio System, available in both the Soul + and Soul !, comes with a center
speaker, subwoofer, and external amplifier that raises the roof on what’s expected of an
entertainment system.
This system is available with the tech package and includes front door speaker trim lights
that pulse to the beat of the music and change color to suit your mood.
UVO
Standard on the 2018 Kia Soul + and Soul !, and available for the Soul Base model, is the UVO
system, which is short for “your voice.” This is a voice-recognition-activated infotainment system
that integrates your smartphone with your vehicle.
In addition to providing access to your music, navigation system, and text messages, this
technology includes 911 Connect, Enhanced Roadside Assist, and the Parking Minder feature that
logs your parking spot.
You can also use UVO to keep tabs on your vehicle diagnostics and maintenance requirements,
all through the app on your paired phone.

All three 2018 Kia Soul trims come with available technology that keeps your hands on the wheel
and your eyes on the road.
Android Auto™: Available in the Soul Base Convenience Package and standard in both the Soul
+ and Soul !, this app pairs your phone to your car, so you can stay connected while driving. You
can also access your favorite music, your GPS, and Google Assistant for hands-free infotainment.
Apple CarPlay™: Standard in the Soul + and Soul !, and available in the Soul Base, this
feature allows iPhone users to pair their phones and access their GPS, music, Siri®,
and texting right from their dashboard.
Siri® Eyes Free: This feature comes standard on all trims and allows drivers to use Siri® by
holding down a button on the steering wheel. Drivers can use voice commands to make and
receive calls, play music, utilize a voice-to-text function to send and receive text messages,
and more.
All trims also come standard with a USB/auxiliary input jack and Bluetooth® wireless technology
that allows drivers to access their phone without taking their hands off the wheel.

Drivers have many customizable options for their 2018 Soul.
All trims come standard with the Soul’s signature Kia Tiger Nose front grille. The Soul + and Soul
! add a chrome and gloss black insert, designed specifically to turn heads. For more head-turning
power, Soul + owners can choose between available single and two-tone paint colors. Available
two-tone options are:

The Soul + offers available heated seats and steering wheel for cold weather driving and
ventilated front seats for warm weather.
Rear Seat and Cargo Dimensions
Rear passengers can make use of the generous 39.5 inches of headroom and adjustable
headrests to ride in safety and luxury. The 40/60 split-folding rear seat with available armrests
gives you options when accommodating both cargo and passengers.
The Kia Soul can transport up to 24.2 cubic feet of cargo with the rear seat upright and
61.3 cubic feet with the rear seat folded.
For a more discreet option, utilize the Cargo Undertray, which is under the cargo area floor,
for concealed storage of smaller items.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC): ESC improves directional stability and helps maintain the
vehicle’s intended direction of travel by braking or reducing engine power accordingly.
Vehicle Stability Management (VSM): VSM stabilizes the vehicle to return steering direction
control to the driver when compromised.
Hill Assist Control (HAC): HAC prevents the vehicle from moving backwards when stopped on
a steep hill. It applies the brakes for two seconds while the driver moves his/her foot from the
brake to the accelerator.
