The 2 reasons why I decided to study at Humber were firstly because
the professors take a real interest in helping the students and
secondly because the programs with work placements are practical
and will help me in my career. I think the best part of the classroom
experience is that from the start of your program you are working
in the mechanical engineering labs learning through a hands-on
approach. Learning how to work with raw materials and precisely
measure dimensions are an asset for my future career in the industry.

         ARTS AND PERFORMANCE
The professors, who are great musicians themselves, actually spend
time making sure you understand and they challenge your current
level in music. The classroom experience at Humber helps feed my
desire to be an honest Saxophone player. There is always so much
happening in the music department with people constantly working
         on creative projects.

BUSINESS AND
     MANAGEMENT
I chose this program based on my previous interactions with the
professors and program coordinator who were always ready to help.
I learned a lot about the fashion industry from my professors’
first-hand experience. They make the classes fun, light and interactive.
After graduation, I would love to have my own business in the
     fashion industry.

The depth of knowledge that my professors brought is one of the
most incredible aspects of the classroom experience. An important
lesson that I learned from my faculty was to always make connections
with the people in the field. These networks will help get the
experience you need and one day land you the job you want.

HEALTH SCIENCES
What I enjoyed most about studying biotechnology at Humber
was being given the opportunity to spend eight hours per week
in a lab environment, working with my colleagues and professors
in different experiments. I just got a job as a Biotech Document
Reviewer, and I will be responsible for reviewing and approving
the results of chemical and biological analyses.

My program required a lot of hard work but because I was passionate
about sports I enjoyed it. My professors were the best part of the
program. They were really helpful and very knowledgeable of the
industry, the profession and sports. I graduated in April 2017
and I am currently working at Toronto Football Club in Marketing
         & Game Operations.

Before starting my graduate certificate in project management at
Humber, I had to complete the English for Academic Purpose (EAP)
program. I started with level 7 after taking a placement test, and I am
now in level 8. Taking EAP has helped me to prepare not just for my
program, but also for my career. I hope to apply for a management
position in a construction company in Toronto after I graduate.

Humber’s curriculum is designed for students to have work experience,
professionalism and respect for the industry by the time they graduate.
Humber also has the resources needed to allow students to reach those
goals, such as the newsroom, radio booth and labs, and the dedicated
faculty who are up-to-date in the industry. During my time in the journalism
program, I explored different sectors of the industry, from newspaper and
magazine to radio and TV and even blogging and social media. MUTIARA SAMOSIR, INDONESIA

experience. Our faculty invite guest speakers who are working in the
industry to share their experiences and answer any questions that
students might have. The professors, who are working in the industry
themselves, share their passion and experiences with us, which helps
us get a better glimpse of the healthcare management industry. Even
though the students have varied career goals, the program is designed
to meet the industry’s requirements.
