     Polar Adventure Awaits.

Antarctica is one of those places few get to see in a lifetime. And, truth be told, if you do get the privilege
to travel there, chances are it will be only once. So why not make it the adventure of a lifetime?
There’s a reason Quark Expeditions® is the leader in the polar regions. With almost 30 years of experience
and a team of seasoned polar experts, we can help you step foot on the 7th continent and ensure your
adventure is awe-inspiring and one of a kind. Whether hiking with a geologist who can explain rock
formations, paddling with kayak experts who can interpret the unique wildlife, or joining the captain
on the bridge, we will make sure your expedition is unique and full of indelible experiences.
Our team will balance risk and reward and constantly look for ways to optimize and personalize your
experience. Hailing from across the globe, they’ll also share personal stories of their time in Antarctica,
so you’ll understand why their connection to this majestic region is so profound.
Come aboard and join us for the 2019.20 season. We’ll strive to take you further than ever before—to the
most remote areas few ever go. It’s our expeditionary spirit that continues to blaze new trails today, whether
you wish to explore the Antarctic Peninsula, cross the Antarctic Circle, or discover the sub-Antarctic islands
of the Falklands and South Georgia.
I know the sights you’ll see and memories you’ll make will stay with you for a lifetime. I’ve been doing this
for decades and the adventure never gets old. We can’t wait to show you what the remote corners of the
world hold for you to explore.

                                                                      Andrew White, President, Quark Expeditions

ONE PASSENGER’S UNFORGETTABLE ANTARCTIC PENINSULA MOMENT

A Close Encounter

“
There are few moments on the water where I’ve experienced something so profound. Usually when
I paddle in my free time, it’s to relax and find a sense of calm. But in Antarctica, I experienced an
adrenaline rush from the seat of my kayak like never before. Following our guide through a channel of
icebergs, everything was exceptionally quiet—that Antarctic silence our Expedition Team tells us about,
where you feel you’re the only humans for miles. The only sound was that of our paddles dipping softly
in the water. Then, as we approached open water, the stillness started to dissipate and the mood slightly
changed. Suddenly, our guide spotted a dark shape in the water ahead and signaled that it could be a
whale. We kept our distance—for both ours and the animal’s safety—hoping it would surface so we could
get a better view. We weren’t disappointed. With our expert guide beside us, it was a thrilling moment.

                                                                                                               ”
This creature seemed to be giving us a proper Antarctic welcome, inviting us to explore her home.
It was my favorite experience of the whole trip and something I will never, ever forget. —Andrew C.

Ocean Diamond
THE COMMUNITY SHIP
A favorite of our staff and past passengers, Ocean Diamond inspires a friendly
onboard community with a wide variety of lounges, bars and lecture rooms where
like-minded explorers can gather to share experiences. Though carrying under
200 passengers, you’ll find plenty of space to be social, join onboard activities, or
enjoy quiet time in the well-stocked polar library. With powerful stabilizers and
an ice-strengthened hull, she makes the ride smooth on challenging expeditions.
All rooms have exterior views, ensuite facilities, flat screen TVs and DVD players,
while some suites feature private balconies.

POLAR-CLASS SHIP

Ocean Adventurer
THE CLASSIC SHIP
As sleek and elegant as a classic ocean liner, but much more intimate, our popular
Ocean Adventurer has recently received a multi-million-dollar renovation. Her traditional
mahogany-and-brass decor is complemented with chic new furnishings, upgraded cabins,
six new deluxe cabins and three new suites. Enjoy fine chef-prepared meals served in an
open-seating dining room, then meet new friends in the bar, the spacious lounge, or the
extensive polar library. Major technical enhancements include two new Rolls-Royce
engines that minimize her carbon emissions, while making Adventurer one of the fastest
ships in the polar regions, getting you to where you want to be in less time.
