HOPIN: HOW-TO GUIDE
INSTRUCTIONS - GETTING STARTED
STEP 1: Sign up for Hopin at least one day prior
to the event.
Click here to sign up
STEP 2: Edit your profile by clicking on your
profile initials in the top right corner. Select
Edit Profile
Complete your full bio and you have the
option to add Twitter, LinkedIn, or website link
If you already have a Hopin account, you are all set!
Keep a lookout for the link to access the Conference. This link will be sent
to your email on the morning of Monday September 27, 2021

INSTRUCTIONS - GETTING STARTED
STEP 3: Conference day - Follow the link emailed to you from
Ticketpro to access the Conference.
Login and join the event. At this point, you will be able to see the
reception of the event.
Click here to log
into your account.
Here you can further
update your profile
You have the option to enable
notifications so you can receive
them during Conference.
Click on the "bell" icon in the
top left corner, and toggle the
button next to "Notifications", it
should turn blue with a Quick tip: Clicking this
arrow will make the chat
checkmark sign. Repeat to collapse so that you can
turn notifications off. see the speakers/stage in
a fuller screen

BEFORE CONFERENCE: Tip: Mozilla Firefox works
best for low-bandwidth

laptops or computers.
Check your browser
Use the latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox on your
laptop or desktop computer for the best experience. You can also
download the Hopin App to attend the event while you are on the go.
*Please avoid Brave, Safari, and Microsoft Internet Explorer or Edge.
Check your internet
Video and audio streaming is heavy on the internet, so make
sure to close any unnecessary apps running in the background.
Prepare your questions
Prepare any potential questions in advance so that you can post
them in the chat.
Technology
Have your device plugged into a power source throughout the
sessions
Close any unnecessary tabs on your browser
Allow Hopin access to your audio and video if you would like to join the
networking sessions, if applicable.
Use an Ethernet (wired) Internet connection if possible
WHICH BROWSERS WORK BEST?
The latest versions of Chrome or Firefox guarantee the best experience.
Please avoid Safari, Microsoft Internet Explorer or Edge since these
browsers lack the modern web technologies support necessary for
online events to run in a web browser.
Hopin App: Hopin also has an app that you can download from your App
Store or Google Play. You can view the event on the app however, some
of the features may be limited.

NAVIGATING THE VIRTUAL CONFERENCE
Access the Reception
When the Conference is live and you have logged into Hopin, you will arrive
in the Reception area. Scroll down and take a look at the Schedule where
you can find all keynotes and descriptions of sessions that are taking place
during the Conference. This is your virtual program. You can add the sessions
to your calendar to be sure that you are not missing out on any events!

Access the Stage & Sessions
After checking the Schedule on the Reception page, head over to the Stage where
you will find the keynotes and any other sessions taking place during the Conference.

Under the Sessions tab, you can select one of the many sessions to join when
they are live. You can the chat feature on the right to talk to others within
that session. For the Group Networking Sessions, you can participate on
camera by clicking "Share Audio and Video"
Accessing the Expo
In the Expo area, you can see all of our Trade Show Exhibitors and
Sponsors. Click on a booth to find out more about their organization, chat
with the vendor in a dedicated booth chat or chat with them live (if they
are available) be sure to check out their special offers!
Take action by clicking 'Register Interest' or the link to their website to learn
more about their organization. You can also connect with them on social media.

Access Speed Networking
To meet other attendees and talk face-to-face, navigate to the Networking
area. Click "Join" and enable audio and video. A pop-up window
automatically appears, hit "Allow". When your audio and video are set up,
click "Ready" and you will be connected to another user.
