WHAT TO WEAR TO A PHOTOSHOOT?
How Would You Like to Be Photographed? This is your
special day. You will be pamered like a queen and you
will play dress up because you deserve a day that is just
about you. So what should you wear?
Bring at least 3-4 outfits. It is always good to have a va-
riety of styles and colors to choose from.
1. GLAMOROUS
This is the “I want to look fabulous” look. Try a floor-length gown
with sparkles and diamonds and you will look absolutely stunning.
2. CLASSIC
Classic can be a simple black dress or a lace white dress, any kind
of texture can also look fantastic (lace, sequin, applique). This look
will be timeless.
3. FORMAL
Wear your best professional attire that is formal and elegant so you
can use the photo for years to come.
4. CASUAL
Be gorgeous in something flattering but comfortable. How about a
blouse and a skirt? Or a simple dress? Consider different necklines
and forms as well.
5. SEXY
Try a daring dress or maybe even lingerie, nothing too showy but
show off your curves instead. Lace can be very sexy.
6. CREATIVE
Be creative. Get a fancy dress and we can jazz it up. We can do a look
created especially for you, it can be anything you want it to be.

JEWELRY & ACCESSORIES
Next we will look at jewelry. Jewelry and accessories can make
any outfit special. They can dress up an otherwise drab outfit, or
glamourize a more formal piece. So, it is important to bring it to
a photoshoot even if you may not normally wear it.
STATEMENT NECKLACE
A statement necklace is a large
bib necklace that can be worn
with a simpler or a classic dress.
If you have an elegant black dress
for instance, a statement neck-
lace would shine next to it.
CONSIDER YOUR DRESS
If your dress is super glamou-
rous with embelishments, a large
statement jewelry piece might
be too much. In this case a sim-
pler neckless and or a pair of ear-
ings is the perfect combination.
YOUR SKIN TONE
When selecting the jewerly for
your outfit, also consider your skin
tone. Some pieces may look great
on you, shining against your skin.
MORE OPTIONS THE BETTER
With jewelry you can’t have too many options. If you are not sure,

SHOES
Although sometimes shoes are not the main focus of the image, the
right pair of shoes ads something special to the overall look. Many
times the right shoes can make you feel extra special. So let’s look at
the best way to match shoes to your dress and accessories.
ACCESSORY COLORS
Pay close attention to our accessories when selecting shoes. If you
have gold jewelry, stay with the gold theme for your shoes as well.
SHOE HEIGHT
Consider the height of your shoe, your dress and your date’s height.
This is where you’ll decide if you want a 4-inch heel, a 2-inch heels
or flats.
STYLE
Condsider the style of your clothing when selecting your shoes. If
you are going for a glamourous look, you want to go all out with your
shoes as well. Simultaneously, for a clean formal look pick shoes that
are simpler as well.

Plan Ahead
Fully plan and organize your outfits and accessories ahead
of time. Try on each outfit, including undergarments and
jewelry to make sure it fits you well and
that you feel comfortable wearing it.
Get Yourself Ready
A few days prior to the photo shoot, get your tan done,
visit a hair salon to freshen up your hair color and cut,
and don’t forget to get your nails done as well.
Make Your Clothes Look Like New
All clothes should look new or like new. Remove
any lint and press clothes if needed.
Polish your Jewelry
Don’t forget about jewelry and accessories. Jewelry can
make any outfit special. Make sure it shines and sparkles.
The Night Before
Drink plenty of water and make sure that you get a good
night sleep. You want to look fresh and well rested.
The Day of the Shoot
Plan to be comfortable during the photoshoot. You will
wear this during the makeover and styling so make sure it
can be removed without messing up your hair and makeup.
