Ceremony
Whether your ceremony takes place under our
rustic archway, in our native garden area, or inside in
front of our impressive stone-hearth open log fire,
we will ensure that your ceremony is run smoothly.
To celebrate the conclusion of your vows, your
guests will be served with bubbly and canapes.
When it’s time to capture your memories in
photographs you have the option for us to take
you by our four wheel drive vehicle to all of
the best spots on our stunning property. From
rolling hills and rivers to our very own waterfall,
Makoura Lodge is a wedding photographer’s
dream location. While you are away, your guests
can enjoy complimentary lawn sports, a hole in
one golf challenge or a variety of our other onsite
activities

Reception
Our Lodge provides seating for up to 110 guests
for your reception. The Lodge’s rustic décor and
wooden ceilings, beams and stonework create an
authentic, country feel. A simple touch of flowers
and candles on your tables finishes the look off
beautifully. In cooler months you and your guests
can enjoy the added ambience of having our open
log fire crackling away.
On our menus page, you will find the options
meet our food philosophy of providing honest,
wholesome country food. While your guests enjoy
a plentiful buffet (no one ever goes home hungry),
the head table has the option of their meals being
plated and served.
Upstairs from the reception area, you will have
use of the private McIntyre room. This is ideal
for entertainment for children as it comes with a
TV and DVD player, or it can be used for nursing
parents, photo booths or storage.
Once the formalities of the evening are complete,
celebrate the night away. The Lodge comes
complete with a dance floor and a sound system.
Being truly in the country, you do not need to
worry about noise infringements. When you are
ready to retire for the evening, your host will drop
you off at our secluded Riverside Retreat Cabin
(option B).
BYO Wine is permitted (Corkage charge applies)
with a limit of 2 bottles per 10 guests. Please see
