                                                                                          RALLY
In 2019 the competitive side of the rally continues to run over 4 days with
Challenge and Competition Classes hitting their first stage of the event on the
Wednesday afternoon. Longer stages up to 20km will be employed and up to 32
stages will be run throughout the four days.
Tour categories get started on Thursday morning, with the Prima Tour heading off
first . Main Tour and Spirit Tour cars will continue on to tackle more closed road
stages and longer stages compared to 2018.
Combined, all category entries are expected to eclipse the 304 entries received in
2018 making the Shannons Adelaide Rally possibly the largest Tarmac Rally field
 in Australasia for 2019.
The event focuses on spirited driving challenges and touring as well as hard-core
rallying. Iconic closed road stages throughout the Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu and
McLaren Vale Regions feature prominently. The result is four days jam-packed
with activities and a festival feel not found at any other rally event in the country .

WEDNESDAY 4TH DECEMBER TO SATURDAY 7TH DECEMBER - Adelaide Motorsport Festival
South Australia has a rich Motorsport history. We are privileged
to have hosted numerous Australian Grand Prix races, with the
first being held at Victor Harbor in 1936 and the last being on the
               Adelaide Parklands circuit in 1995.
The Adelaide Motorsport Festival celebrates these years whilst
also drawing in star cars that claimed their fame on circuits all
              over the globe.

South Australia has the highest percentage of classic and exotic
car ownership per-capita of anywhere in the world and held
the record for the highest Formula One event attendance at
over 500,000 people for many decades. Although the event is
successful in its own backyard, the AMF also enjoys over 11%
            attendance from interstate and abroad.
