Welcome to HP 3D Training and the HP 3D Training Centers! Thank you for choosing our Multi Jet Fusion
training programs. We are confident it will be a rewarding learning experience.
Although you are responsible for your own travel arrangements, here is some useful information on
accommodation options near our training centers, transportation for getting to and from the training
center, and many more tips for enjoying this training experience to the fullest!

This training center is located at the same site as our HP Graphics Experience Center, where we’re ready to show
you how the right combination of solutions can grow your business and try innovative technology first-hand.
What should you know before the first session?
• Training will be delivered in English, so it is highly recommended that participants have a fluent
level of English.
• On the first day of the course, participants must present their passport or ID at the HP reception
area and at the security desk of the main lobby.
• Arrival time should be 8:45am so that you have time enough to sign in before the sessions
starts.
• All sessions begin at 9am.
• Lunch is not provided, but there is a full-service cafeteria at your disposal.
• Dress code is business casual (avoid shorts, sandals, flip-flops, etc.)
Computer requirements
• Every participant must come with a laptop.
• If your company uses Materialise Magics or Autodesk Netfabb, please attend with the
applications installed.

Our HP APJ GSS Learning Academy in Singapore provides training and development in line with
accelerating the digital transformation of the printing industry across Asia Pacific and Japan.

Transportation
From town, you can take a MRT or a taxi from your hotel.
The nearest station to the HP 3D Singapore Learning Academy is Tuas Link.
Things to know when taking a taxi
All Singapore Cab / Taxis are metered. Fare will be charged according to the taxi meter, including any
surcharges. Receipts will be issue upon request. Limousine taxi service charges a flat rate and can only
hired from an authorized limousine counter or through phone booking. All charges are in Singapore
Currency (SGD$). If you are getting to HP APJ GSS Learning Academy via taxi, do let the driver know to
use the exit 24 from the AYE (Ayer Rajah Expressway) which is close to the Tiger Beer Factory. Turn in
before the Epson Building at the cross junction.
There are several methods of getting a taxi in Singapore:

General steps to book a taxi
1. Decide on the taxi booking method
2. Check with the operator on the surcharges or extra fees involved
3. Specify on the pick-up location and pick-up time to the operator
4. Wait for the taxi to be assigned. Do note down the taxi registration number plate given and the
estimated time of arrival.
5. Wait for the taxi at the specify pick up location within the time of arrival. Let the driver know
your drop-off location.
6. Do remember to request for a receipt upon drop-off.
Getting a Taxi by the side of the road
There is a flag-down fee if you hail a cab by the side of the road. Normally from downtown area to the
Learning Academy, it will cost around SGD$25-35 in normal traffic conditions.
In Singapore, taxis are not allowed to stop and pick up passengers along bus lanes, bus stops, lanes
with double zigzag lines and roads in CBD where bus ply in compliance with the Singapore traffic rules.
There is no need to put a ‘+65’ if you are calling from Singapore.

Things to know when taking an MRT
Our train services are separated into 5 lines: the North South Line (Red Line), the East West Line (Green
Line), the Circle Line (Orange Line), the Downtown Line (Blue Line), and the North East Line (Purple Line).

Sant Cugat Training Center is located on the same site as the HP 3D Printing Center of Excellence, in
Sant Cugat del Vallès, a small town 25km from Barcelona.

There is a special rate with continental breakfast buffet and wi-fi included. The price is guaranteed for
all seasons and events. The restaurant opens in the evening with a special €12 Menu for HP customers;

Another reason to highly recommend you this hotel is that HP has arranged a shuttle service that brings
you every morning (Mon-Fri) at 8.45am from the hotel to HP. If you prefer going by taxi, ask for one the
day before at the reception. The Training Center is located 2.5km away from the hotel.
During the booking, make sure you identify as an HP 3D Training Center customer in order to benefit
from these benefits. The booking can only be made by email
to: express.santcugat@continentalhotels.eu.

Transportation
• El Prat Airport > Barcelona center by train
Every 30 minutes a Renfe suburban train goes to Barcelona center. It will stop at Sants (20 minutes),
Passeig de Gràcia (25 minutes) and Estació de França (30 minutes). Check the Renfe website for further
information: https://www.renfe.com/es/en
• El Prat Airport > Barcelona center by bus
Alternatively, the Aerobús A1 line stops between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 and travels along Gran Via
to Plaça Catalunya. The published journey time is 35 minutes (although it can take considerably longer
during rush hour).
• El Prat Airport > HP Training Center (Sant Cugat) by taxi
From/to the airport, taxi rates are approximately €60 each trip.
• El Prat Airport > HP Training Center (Sant Cugat) by public transport
There is no direct connection to the HP Training Center from the airport. You should:
- Go to Plaça Catalunya (Renfe, Aerobús or taxi) and take the FGC (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat
de Catalunya) from there
- Take the train S2 (direction Sabadell) or S55 (direction Universitat Autònoma) and get off at the
Sant Joan station (the station after Sant Cugat).
- Outside the station in Sant Joan, you’ll find a shuttle bus that runs every 10 minutes which stops
right in front of the HP site. Check the FGC website for further information

• El Prat Airport > HP Training Center (Sant Cugat) by car
Keep following the AP-2/AP-7 signs (not the Barcelona downtown exits). After about 20km, take the
exit for Girona/France. Once on the AP-7, in about 4km take the right ramp to the AP-7 lateral to highway
(calzada lateral, or B30), which runs parallel to the AP-7. Stay on the Calzada Lateral for about 2km.
Just after the intersection with the “Tuneles de Vallvidrera” highway, you will see the HP building on the
left (next to the Deutsche Bank). Follow the exit ramp marked “Asepeyo / Can Graells”. The ramp takes
you to a first roundabout/traffic circle where you go left (270 degrees) on the bridge over the highway.
After the bridge, you encounter a second roundabout/traffic circle, where you take the 2nd road (180
degrees) towards HP. The first gate to your left is the entrance to the HP site.
• Barcelona (downtown) > Training Center (Sant Cugat) by public transport
- Take the FGC (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya) from Plaça Catalunya

As mentioned before, one of the benefits HP 3D Training Center customers have is a free shuttle every

- Go by foot: it would take around half an hour. Google maps or the hotel reception will suggest
the best route for you.
- Take the public bus: in front of Sant Joan train station, bus lines L and M are available to take
you to HP. Tickets available in the bus (no credit card accepted).
