1. General
 Release Model Numbers:
  AY-B8520: Indoor networked optical fingerprint with 125 kHz (EM) RFID card reader
  AY-B8550: Indoor networked optical fingerprint with 13.56 MHz (MIFARE) RFID card reader
  AY-B8620: Outdoor networked optical fingerprint with 125 kHz (EM) RFID card reader
  AY-B8650: Outdoor networked optical fingerprint with 13.56 MHz (MIFARE) RFID card reader
  DR-B8000: USB 2.0 fingerprint enrollment scanner and desktop reader
  Concurrent Relevant Release:
  AxTraxNG V 27.6.1.6 and above: Access Control and Automation Server for Windows with fully integrated
  RosslareBio 8000 series interface for template capture, storage, and distribution within networked access control
  systems

 BETA – Release Standalone Software:
   RosslareBio 8000 – Standalone management software that supports the RosslareBio 8000 biometric terminal
    series for user enrollment, template management, distribution, reports and more. This allows the terminals to
    be installed with almost any third-party access control system.

 Date of Release: 14 March 2019

 System Description:

  The 8000 Biometric series includes two installation options – one with a rugged metal case with IK10 / IP65 and
  epoxy potting for protection for outdoor applications (AY-B86x0), and a second model with cost-effective
  construction for indoor applications (AY-B85x0). Each housing option can be provided with either 13.56 MHz
  MIFARE or 125 kHz EM RFID card reader.
  The system includes the DR-B8000 desktop enrollment station allowing end users to enroll user templates to the
  system from a desktop environment. All the models feature a 500 DPI optical fingerprint sensor, with state of the
  art water and dust sealed optical chamber. The is capable of reading both wet and dry fingers, and has a scratch-
  resistant glass surface that does not wear down with heavy use ensuring a long product lifetime.
  The 8000 biometric series terminals can enroll 7,000 fingerprint templates (1: N) and enables the end user to
  choose to deploy Fingerprint only, Card Only or dual factor authentication (Fingerprint + Card) with AxTraxNG™.
  This product range is recommended for general purpose access control applications, time and attendance and
  automation. The terminals are connected to the Ethernet by TCP/IP for management and have a Wiegand output
  that is connected to a reader port of the access control panel
  The terminals keep only the necessary templates in encrypted format of the users who have access rights. This
  data is not the image of the fingerprint but the data of the Template – Fingerprints cannot be reconstructed from
  the template.
  As a system solution, Rosslare AxTraxNG™ Version 27.6.1.6 (and above) supports management of terminals
  providing a fully integrated configuration for easy deployment.
  For third party integration we are releasing a BETA release of the RosslareBio 8000 for Windows OS. Third-party
  access control systems that want to deploy Rosslare readers may use the RosslareBio 8000 software to enable the
  enrollment in their systems.

      The DR-B8000 is compatible with AxTraxNG v27.6.1.x and above. Upon connecting the scanner to the
      computer, the scanner is available for enrollment purposes.
      The seamless integration with AxTraxNG™ provides: Template Enrollment, biometric network status, template
      capacity usage, template distribution to readers, and more.
    RosslareBio 8000 Software – Standalone management software that allows managing the terminals, users,
     reports, and allows easily implementation with third-party access control systems.
 General Note:
   Rosslare would like to target the modern physical access control system (PACS) market needs by creating
   compact and versatile devices that support biometric fingerprint enrollment and security access with a cost
   effective product line.
   Rosslare wants to make it easier to adopt fingerprint and RFID card credentials for the SME, SMB, and Enterprise
   systems with a product that appeals to a new generation and future generations of users, and provide the
   convenience and security application opportunities.

5. EU – GDPR Statement about this Product Line
The 8000 series biometric fingerprint readers with optical sensor does not keep an image of the fingerprint. During
enrollment, the reader converts the image into a “template” where only certain parameters are retained. This template
encrypts the data making it impossible to generate the image of the fingerprint from the template.
The 8000 Series is a line of biometric security products that enables users to deploy a security system with higher
levels of security for the prevention of crime.
Rosslare Security Products is not a processor of any data associated with the products. All data processing is done by
the end user organization. Rosslare ensures the maximum levels of data protection within the products making it
impossible to obtain any personal data on any user by equipment tear down. The end-user operator entity of this
product is the data processor.
Rosslare Security Products is not a data controller of any data associated with the products. Data controlling is
performed by the end-user-operator of the system. These products do not provide Rosslare with any user data at any
time whatsoever.
In addition, these products (“8000 Series”) are used in many applications that are covered under Article 23 of the
GDPR Regulations. Article 23 cites exemptions for applications including 1) country’s security, defense, and public
security 2) Enabling and securing judicial independence 3) The detection, investigation, and prosecution of crime and
the prevention of criminal activity 4) The protection of subjects critical to national interests such as budgetary, social,
and health matters.

6. Known Issues
 More than 3000 users may take more than 1 sec authentication
 Injured or totally wet fingers may have a problem with being granting access
 When Using RosslareBio 8000 software (Beta), the dual credential authentication option is disabled.
 Every first USB connection of the DR-B8000 will an error pop-up that needs to be ignored does not affect function.

8. Global Standards Certification Approvals
The 8000 biometric series has been tested and certified by a third-party accredited laboratory for the following
standards approvals and has achieved a PASS rating in every test classification:

European Community Standards: CE: (Safety / EMC / LVD / RFI / EMI)
Placement of the CE-Mark on the label and packaging, and manuals according to the latest requirements made by the
Harmonized standards organization of the European Union (ETSI) and CE are marks is permitted only after all
applicable requirements are met in accordance with the European Union Rules, including the manufacturer’s issuance
of a “Declaration of Conformity.
Rosslare’s CE Declaration of Conformity is issued under sole responsibility of manufacturer. This attestation is
specific to the standard(s) stated above and compliance with additional standards and/or European directives are
applicable. CE declaration of conformity for this product is issued and available online for customs, and importing
purposes to import the product in the EU region.
All test reports and certificates of compliance are on file at Rosslare office.

North America: Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
These products are certified by the US Federal Communications commission (FCC) to be legal to import into the
United States, and used within the borders of the United States of America. Rosslare has submitted the products for
laboratory testing inside certified testing labs, and the products have passed the FCC Part 15.247.
The products have been tested to comply with the FCC standards for the following applicable standards:

The FCC IDs are: GCD-B8550, GCD-B8620, GCD-B8520, GCD-B8650.
The test report and application documents showing that the results is available and uploaded online to the FCC
database via FCC.gov website.
