classrooms. Cost of the system was $1,125.00.
Food Security Program
3. Harvesting time - Now is harvesting season at Mwambezi Village. Each
household is harvesting what they planted last season.
4. One Challenge - It is at this time that people are required to pay for fertilizer
to prepare for the next growing season. The problem is people have not even
sold what they are harvesting yet. Most of the people have a big challenge
finding money to pay for fertilizer for 2021/22 growing season. Remittance
in support of the food security program was $665.39.
Housing Program
5. Some people at the village are taking advantage of the dry season to make
bricks for their brick homes.
Health Program
6. Priority
After developing the strategic plan, the community prioritized having a
clinic as next to having a school. Since the school is a long-term project, the
community voted to pause construction of the school for one year and in
the meantime construct the clinic. The clinic is particularly critical at this
time given the COVID-19 pandemic. On May 23, 2021 the ED
commissioned the construction of the medical clinic at Mwambezi Village.
The main activities over the reporting period have been:
1. Gathering building materials – Cement, Bricks, Stones, Sand, etc.
2. Digging the foundation.
