ProcessWhat is an Options Appraisal?
Structured process to decide on the best way forward
Balances a range of factors – housing, social, health &
wellbeing, local environment, economic, planning, community
and financial & deliverability
Typically tests 5-6 options, against a “do nothing” or “business
as usual” base case
Needs to take enough time to consider issues thoroughly but
also give people certainty on a decision / conclusion date
Carried out in line with government and GLA guidance
Intended only to indicate the best broad option; this will then
need to be worked up in detail in conjunction with local
peopleThe Options Appraisal Process
