5th Coni trophy under 14 - Kinder Sport
Rimini hosts the final stage of the 5th Coni trophy under 14 - Kinder Sport.
This is the most important sports event dedicated to youth, in which participate about 5,000 people, including
3500 athletes with 35 Federations, 6 associated disciplines, 20 regional delegations.
Fireworks display at the bridge of Tiberius for the inauguration day.

XII International Choral Competition

City of Rimini 2018
The city of Rimini is preparing to host the numerous choirs that will take part in the Twelfth International Choral
Competition 'City of Rimini', the musical event taking place from 20th to 23rd September 2018.
On Thursday 20th September the Sacred Music Competition will take place at the Church of Santa Maria dei
Servi, starting at 3.00 p.m. and will continue with concerts at the Novelli Theater, every evening at 9.00 p.m.. In
the different evenings all the choral formations will follow one another on the stage, with a great variety of music,
vocality, language, culture. The choirs will also sing Mass in the Church of Sant'Agostino, in Rimini, on Saturday
22nd September at 4.30 pm. The jury will be composed by Alexei Petrof (Russia, president of the Jury), Nelson
Kwei (Singapore), Fabio Pecci (Italy), Tatyana Zhdanova (Russia) and Aida Swenson (Indonesia).The Festival will
end on Sunday 23rd September at 9 pm, with the City of Rimini Grand Prix Competition, which will be attended by
the first and second classified in the categories A, B, C, E. Countries of origin of the choirs: Italy, Slovenia,
France, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Denmark and Indonesia. The artistic director of the event is Andrea
Angelini.

Giardini d'Autore: a gardening fair in Castel Sismondo

The autumn edition with many novelties and events
The gardening exhibition with the best Italian plants experts comes back to Rimini for the autumn edition 2018. A
fixed appointment for all gardening lovers who recognize in this show quality and prestige, an opportunity to find
rare plants and essences and share knowledge of the culture of green in all its forms and expressions.
From the sea to the center, from Fellini Park to Sismondo Castle: Giardini d'Autore, has a new home. And more
than a house it is a palace: Castel Sismondo in Piazza Malatesta will host the autumn edition of Giardini d'Autore.
Crossing the threshold of the Castel, the public will be enchanted by the autumn flowers : collections of
ornamental sage, grasses, Japanese anemones, maples, hydrangeas, roses, aquatic plants, tropical plants, chili
peppers coming from all the world and ancient fruits, unusual varieties of ornamental pumpkins, shrubs, edible
plants, historic citrus, fuchsias, aromatic plants, dahlias, echinaceae and many other plant curiosities to create
real “Giardini d'Autore” and color the green spaces all winter long. And while the nurserymen will exalt the
outdoor spaces of the Cortile del Soccorso, the gardeners and the designers of the open spaces will embellish the
internal rooms of the wing dedicated to Isotta degli Atti, Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta's most beloved wife.
In this new edition of Giardini d'Autore at Castel Sismondo there will be many off appointments for the public: from
the "Secret Garden" -a circuit that discover the most beautiful secret gardens in the historic city center- to green
installations that mark the trends of the garden design by a mixture of plants, furnishings and original ideas.
The youngest plants are the ones that deserve more care.
That's why we care so much about the garderners of the future. Giardini d' Autore begins well in advance for them
thanks to creative workshops and surprise stories at the "Libreria dei Ciliegi" in via Bertola 53 Rimini.

Solidarity parade of 'classic' motorcycles with riders in elegant clothes
Rimini will officially take part in the largest charity event, dedicated to classic and vintage motorcycle owners.
The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride brings together over 70,000 elegant gentlemen in more than 650 cities in
100 nations, where they will drive their beautiful motorcycles in favor of human health.
The goal for 2018 is to raise $ 6 million to donate to the Movember Foundation, the world's largest organization for
prostate cancer research and mental health.
The meeting point in Largo Boscovich is scheduled for 9:30am with the parade starting at 10:00. They will follow
the route allong the main streets of the city, with a stop in Miramare and return to Largo Boscovich for about 1pm.
All those who want to participate must register for free on the reference portal, where you can find information on
the parade. Once enrolled, you will be able to take part in the extraction of awards for fundraising.

ZERO ( Weak Fist ) at the Arch of Augusto in Rimini

Installation of the bright sculpture by the artist Patrik Tuttofuoco
ZERO (Weak Fist) is a project by the artist Patrick Tuttofuoco to promote Italian contemporary art in the world.
The Arch of Augustus in Rimini has inspired this installation; the Arch is a symbolic structure devoid of doors and
barriers, an architecture not of defense but of acceptance, witness of a period of peace and cohabitation among
the peoples. Two consular roads branch off from Rimini; the via Emilia and the via Flaminia, which reflect, a
“limes” that is both urban and universal, a connection between the boundaries of the city-state and the borders of
its political-administrative area. Zero(Weak Fist) is conceived as a traveling exhibition from 15th September 2018
to 17th February 2019: a bright sculpture designed to be relocated in Rimini, Berlin and Bologna, three cities that
have the character of a formal archaeological find, unchanged over time. The shape of the falling fist may seem a
surrender, but also a sign of non-violence, while ZERO is a sign that- in sign language - is expressed by showing
the closed hand with the thumb in contact with the tips of the other fingers, the moment between tension and
relaxation. ZERO (Weak Fist) is a changing work, visible during the night, and 'a non-violent gesture crept
between strong architectures that marks the persistence of a critical thought.

old baroness Maria Vetsera. A background of amorous and political intrigues, in a story that culminates in a tragic
double suicide.

Review "Foto d'Autunno": Photo exhibition by Andrea and Magda . Twenty photos that tell stories about
Palestinian women with disabilities
As part of the review 'Foto d'Autunno', the exhibition 'I am a woman' opens at the Galleria dell'Immagine, where
photographs of Palestinian women with disabilities are exhibited. Their stories are told, along a photographic
itinerary created by the photographers Andrea and Magda as part of an International project carried out in
Palestine by the NGO EducAid. The exhibition aims to affirm the rights of people with disabilities and their
potential beyond stereotypes and prejudices, in a context, the Palestinian context, in which this condition is
strongly stigmatized, both in the family and in the social sphere. The images tell-with irony, strength and
brightness - stories of redemption of Palestinian women with disabilities who, thanks to the study and hard work,
have achieved their path of autonomy and self-determination.

Rimini photography festival
The seventh edition of the festival "Rimini. Foto d'Autunno", renews the autumn appointment that Rimini dedicates
to photography, with exhibitions at the City Museum, Galleria dell'Immagine and FAR Fabbrica Arte Rimini.
The event will be open by the exhibition "I'm a woman, no more and no less", by the photographers Andrea and
Magda. Twenty photographs that tell stories about Palestinian women with disabilities. Inauguration on Saturday
15th September, at 5.00 p.m., open to the public until 28th October 2018.
From September 29th, the photographers Valerio Vasi, Anna Wei, Gianni Gori and Cesare Rosa will exhibit their
works at the City Museum.
More exhibitions that concern crucial periods of local history will be set up, such as: “ '68 l'alleanza dei corpi“, “Le
ragazze del '68” by Raffaella Baldelli, Fabio Bruschi, Piero Delucca in collaboration with the archives of Davide
Minghini, the studio Morosetti and “Rimini secondo tre. Fotografia e memoria della città che cambia”, by Daniele

Inaugural event at Amintore Galli Theatre
First inaugural event of Galli Theater, Cecilia Bartoli performs with Les Musiciens du Prince, proposing Cinderella,
under the musical direction of Gianluca Capuano.
Born in Rome, but of Rimini origins, discovered by Daniel Barenboim, Herbert von Karajan and Riccardo Muti,
Cecilia Bartoli has a star career, now thirty years, worldwide.
Les Musiciens du Prince are a Baroque ensemble formed in spring 2016 at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, from an
idea by Jean-Louis Grinda, director of the Opéra. The project was immediately supported by Albert II, Prince of
Monaco and the Princess of Hannover. Since then, Les Musiciens du Prince and Cecilia Bartoli have been guests
of the most important European musical institutions and hailed by unanimous consents of the public and the
international press.

Embassy Gallery presents an exhibition by Tobia Ravà, whose conceptual aesthetic art explores the world of
mathematics related to Jewish culture and Kabbalah.The exhibition starts from the creation of wide-angle photos.
Several are the techniques used by Ravà to produce its original polychrome "creations". Paintings on canvas and
sculptures in bronze, wood or terracotta, aluminium reflecting panels and light boxes that invite you to travel along
the secret itineraries of the soul.

69th Sagra Musicale Malatestiana Music Festival - side projects
Nicola Piovani, at the piano, tells the audience the sense of the jagged paths that led him to flank the work of De
André, Fellini, Magni, Spanish, French and Dutch directors for theater, cinema and television, of instrumental
singers, alternating the performance of unpublished theatrical pieces with new versions of the best known songs
rearranged for the occasion.
In the theatrical story words get where the music can not arrive, but at the same time music reigns where words
cannot. The videos of the scene integrate the storytelling with images of films, shows and, above all, images that
artists such as Luzzati and Manara have dedicated to the musical work by Piovani.

Discovering the historical heritage of the Gambalunga Civic Library
The Gambalunga Library offers the opportunity to visit the Ancient Halls in the seventeenth century Palazzo
Gambalunga, where it is possible to admire the most prestigious volumes and precious furnishings. Founded by
the jurisconsult Alessandro Gambalunga, who prepared the legacy of his "library" to the Municipality of Rimini in
his will. His achive consisted of 1438 volumes, about 2,000 printed works, with prestigious covers bearing the
emblem of the family and the name of the patron. The library, opened in 1619, qualified as public, is the first civic
library in Italy. In the seventeenth and eighteenth century rooms you can discover treasures of refined elegance
and of historical and cultural interest.

From December 2018 to mid-January 2019, every corner of the city becomes an open-air stage with a calendar of

Domus in Fabula - Guided tours
All the year
Guided tours to the archaeological site of the Domus del Chirurgo and to the City Museum.
After two thousand years in the historical center of Rimini it is possible to admire the archaeological complex
called Domus del Chirurgo (the surgeon domus). A small Pompeii in the heart of the city where was discovered an
exceptional surgical-pharmaceutical kit never seen before, now on display in the adjacent City Museum. The
Domus is a Byzantine palace with large rooms enriched by polychrome mosaics: a medieval house where
Eutyches, the surgeon, lived and operated on his patients and where it is possible to admire its sepulchral
structures. To safeguard its conservation and to allow its visit to the public, a glass and steel covering was built.
The visitors will discover the anecdotes about the surgeon’s life who lived there by the guided tours. Moreover, in
the rooms of the City Museum of Rimini it is possible to visit the reproduction of the medical table and admire the
entire surgical instruments.
You can continue the museum tour to discover the works of the 14th century Rimini school and many other art
treasures.
Guided tour timetable: Saturday and Sunday at 4 pm. The visit is included in the entrance ticket. Reservation is
required.
