RULES AND GENERAL INFORMATION

42020 JUNIOR RESTRICTED CUP
ELIGIBILITY - This is a handicap event based on 100% of 200 and open to all junior members of
Tenpin Bowling Australia Limited with an average no greater than Boys 169 and Girls 159. All bowlers
must have completed an “All Events” entry in the 2020 Australian Junior Championship.
FORMAT - This event has separate divisions for Boys and Girls and is conducted in two (2) separate
stages.
Stage 1- Qualifying - Qualifying will be the highest three (3) game singles or doubles plus handicap
attempt bowled during the Championship until completion of the 11.00am squad on Saturday 18th
April. Any Singles or doubles attempt used for Restricted Cup qualifying will incur an additional
qualifying fee of $10.00 (Ten dollars) which must be paid prior to the squad in which the bowler is
participating.
Stage 2 - Final - Top 24 qualifiers in Boys and Girls will bowl 8 games in blocks of 2 games changing
lanes after each block. The final field will be made up of the Defending Champions (if eligible), and
the balance based on the highest placed Boys and Girls qualifiers according to their qualifying
scratch score plus handicap. At the completion of 8 games, the boy and girl with the highest scratch
pinfall plus handicap will be declared the winners.
Ties - In the event of any ties for the final qualifying position or first place, a single game will be
played to break the tie. Pinfall plus handicap will apply. Any subsequent tie will require a 10th frame
playoff until the tie is broken.
FINAL Saturday 18th April 2019 Check-in by 1.30pm for 2.00pm start
Bowlers not checked in by the allocated check-in time will be replaced with
the next highest reserve.
COST Cost of final will be $110.00
PRIZES 1st PLACE Trophy, medallion, shirt, 40% of the prize fund & free entry

62020 ROYAL RUMBLE
5 Person teams using the “Baker” style format where player one bowls frames 1 and 6, player 2
bowls frames 2 and 7 etc. Close scoring, electric excitement and high fives all round in this great
team event, with a chance for some prize money! HURRY!
The Rumble commences at 4.30pm based on 24 teams. This is a great way to warm up for
President's Shield. Tournament team reserves the right to add extra squads should entries exceed
24 teams.

PLUS $50 bowl-for-strike in each qualifying round.
This tournament format uses the “baker” style 5 person team where player one bowls frames 1 and
6, player 2 bowls frames 2 and 7, etc. All participants must be members of TBA.
ROUND ONE: Each team will bowl 6 games, beginning at 4.30pm. A free ticket will be
handed to each participants for entry into a “Bowl a Strike” competition.
Tickets will be drawn on two occasions during the squad and the holders of
those tickets will bowl one ball for a strike. If unsuccessful, another ticket will
be drawn until we have a winner. The first strike on each occasion will win $50
cash.
ROUND TWO: Top 12 teams from Round One will bowl a further 4 games. Pinfall will carry
over from Round One.
ROUND THREE: Top 6 teams from Round Two will bowl a further 2 games. Pinfall will carry
over from Round Two.
Prize money will be paid out based on the final scores from this round.
Highest last game will be used to break any ties. Second highest game will be used to break any
subsequent tie and so on until the tie is broken.
72020 AUSTRALIAN BUMPER CHALLENGE
This tournament is open to all TBA Bumper Bowlers under 10 years of age. This is a handicap event
based on 100% of 200 and handicaps will be allocated against entering averages.
Bowlers are not permitted to use ramps or be assisted in the delivery of the ball.
COST OF EVENT: $18.00
WHEN: 6:00pm 15th April 2020
FORMAT: Bowlers will bowl two (2) games on the same pair of lanes. At the end of the
tournament the bowler with the highest pinfall including handicap will be
declared the winner.
PRIZES: Medallions will be awarded to the first three place getters.
Participation Certificates will be awarded to the participants.
