1. INTRODUCTION The aim of the NFL game is to predict the results of certain matches of the NFL season and playoff for 2018/2019. In some countries sports betting has been regulated and the industry is billionaire. Bookies are operating online in certain countries (where it is allowed) and accounts can be funded through credit cards or bank transfers. CryptoCup provides a new way of betting in the sports industry through a Smart Contract which runs in the Ethereum Blockchain. Current estimates show that the sports betting industry amounts to 180 bln usd. With the latest news from the federal court in the US, the american sports will show a big increment in the industry. CryptoCup is a fantastic innovation for this event. Built in the Ethereum Blockchain, CryptoCup operates totally autonomously through smart contracts. Records will be stored in a decentralized and public blockchain. Thanks to blockchain technology, fraud and manipulation are rendered impossible. 1.1 History Betting on horses started in the 19th century (mainly an amusement for the royalty), it became an industry which has grown dramatically since then. It remained so until other sports became popular and attracted gamblers. Afterwards, Basketball (college and professional) and Baseball became popular as well as boxing and football. NFL is the most popular sport in the US with the superbowl being a major event around the world. In 2017, there were 105 million viewers (most of them in the US). 1.2 Betting issues Sports betting faces many problems; the main issue being “match fixing”. CryptoCup solves many other issues such as centralisation and regulations. Trust CryptoCup operates in the Ethereum blockchain through a Smart Contract making the game completely transparent (public) and unalterable. Regulations Many countries regulate the sports industry by allowing only some companies in the market to start offering the services. This procedure may lead to ponzi schemes and fraud. 2. PRODUCT 2.1 How CryptoCup works? As stated before, Cryptocup game is devised as a smart contract to receive and distribute the ETH prize. The way the process runs, is schemed on the following flowchart: Enter the website, log into Metamask and fill out your predictions. Once done, you buy your “CryptoCup Token” with ETH and you receive it in your wallet. Once the tournament is over, the contract will process the winning tokens and the ETH will be redeemed by the owners of the winning tokens. Each “CryptoCup token” is represented as a non-fungible ERC-721 token, featuring specific attributes (winning teams, results, stats). The Smart Contract will use Oraclize to read the APIs from a trusted outsourced database. CRYPTOCUP WHITEPAPER 5
2.2 Playing modes 2.2.1 Season Tournaments Each tournament is a 3 week tournament. There will be 3 tournaments 1st tournament: Week 9, 10 & 11 2nd tournament: Week 12, 13 & 14 3rd tournament: Week 15, 16 & 17 Each tournament will include a set of matches (15 to 22 matches) and stats for extra points. Each player must predict the winner of each match and a set of stats. 2.2.2 Playoff Tournament This tournament is unique and there will be only one. However, it is very easy to play like the season ones. The player must predict each bracket till the Super Bowl Champion. The player will also need to predict a set of stats for extra points 2.3 Exchange & Secondary Market Although the “CryptoCup tokens” are not a cryptocurrency, it operates on the Ethereum Blockchain. Each token is unique, owned by a user, validated on the blockchain and the value can increase or decrease according to market conditions. For every transaction between users, a 5% commission fee is charged which goes to the prize pool. CRYPTOCUP WHITEPAPER 6
2.3.1 Non fungible Tokens Most tokens are fungible, that is to say they are identical (there is no difference between one another) and usually fractionable whereas each “CryptoCup Token” is unique as it states your tournament predictions. Although there is a small chance of 2 or more players choosing the same winners and match results, each token will still be different as each token has a number that represents the time when it was bought (the earlier the better for ties). "CryptoCup Tokens" are based on the ERC721 protocol on the ethereum network. 2.4 Prize distribution The prize pool will depend on the amount of players that are participating in each tournament. CryptoCup will retain 10% of the pot for expenses and costs and the remaining 90% will be distributed among winners. Should there be a tie, the prize will be shared by the winners. Special Cases (in case of a tie) - Total number of players between 51 and 100 The prize split will be among the top 10 positions in case of a tie. If more than 10 players tie between the first 10 positions, prize will be awarded by timestamp. The tokens will be ordered by the time they were created, the earliest being first. Ex: In case of multiple tie on 10th position, the prize will be awarded by timestamp to the first one created. - Total number of players between 101 and 200 The prize split will be among the top 20 positions in case of a draw. If more than 20 players tie between the first 20 positions, prize will be awarded by timestamp. The tokens will be ordered by the time they were created, the earliest being first. Ex: In case of multiple tie on 20th position, the prize will be awarded by timestamp to the first one created. - Number of players (201 - no limit) The prize split will be among the top 10% positions in case of a draw. If more than 30 players tie between the first 30 positions, prize will be awarded by timestamp. The tokens will be ordered by the time they were created, the earliest being first. Ex: In case of multiple tie on 30th position, the prize will be awarded by timestamp to the first one created and the other players will be assigned to the next positions CRYPTOCUP WHITEPAPER 7

CRYPTOCUP WHITEPAPER 83. NFL SEASON & POSTSEASON The NFL consists of a season phase and playoffs (postseason). 32 teams will compete in the SuperBowl. The season goes from September 6th to December 30th. The playoffs goes from January 5th to February 3rd 3.1 Season As said 32 teams will play during the season during 17 weeks All of them compete for a place in the playoffs (post season) The 32-team National Football League is divided into two conferences, American Football Conference (AFC) and National Football Conference(NFC), each with 16 teams. 3.2 Playoffs The tournament brackets are made up of six teams from each of the league's conferences, after the end of the regular season. The qualification system is the following: - The 4 division champions from each conference (the team in each division with the best overall record), which are seeded 1 through 4 based on their overall won-lost-tied record. - Two wild-card qualifiers from each conference (the two teams with the best overall records of all remaining teams in the conference), which are seeded 5 and 6. The first round of the playoffs is called the wild-card weekend. In this round, the third-seeded division winner hosts the sixth seed wild card, and the fourth seed hosts the fifth. The 1 and 2 seeds from each conference qualify automatically to the Divisional Round, where they face the wild-card weekend survivors. The NFL does not use a fixed bracket playoff system. The number 1 seed will host the worst surviving seed from the first round (seed 4, 5 or 6), while the number 2 seed will play the other team (seed 3, 4 or 5). The two winning teams from the divisional playoff games then meet in the respective AFC and NFC Conference Championship games, with the winners of those brackets going on to face one another in the Super Bowl.
